  1. Loved reading about the trip! Currently planning a small wedding in Puglia, specifically Fasano, for next September and trying to map out the some stores to stop at that hopefully match up with the honeymoon. If anyone has suggestions for the following, it is greatly appreciated: Cities/Places/Restaurants Stores to visit or anything else you think I should know! Already trying to plan out some wedding smokes! Since you will be in Fasano go to Polignano a Mare (it's a 15 minute drive). Go to La Grotta Palazzese for dinner. It's one of the most romantic restaurants in the world. You will need to make reservations well in advance.
  2. Well done Frank. I just came from 3 1/2 weeks touring the south of Italy with 5 of my children. It was the trip of a lifetime. I'm looking forward to going back next summer. Without the kids this time.
  3. IMO there is a significant difference between Mag 50 and Mag 46. I find Mag 50 is very mild and Mag 46 much stronger in flavour. It is much more than a difference in vitola. Then again others may disagree. That's what makes this journey so enjoyable.
  4. I actually look forward to reading these posts. I could learn a lot from the Oracle of Oakville and the like.
  5. I had mine delivered to my door this evening. It looks good, even on me. I will wear it tomorrow when I plan on having a smoke with some BOTL. Thank you to all who participated in making this happen
  6. 2014 Hoyo Des Dieux and, of course, Habana Club in honour of Havana Mike. RIP Mike
  7. My experience at one of the resorts in Varadero in late February was quite the opposite. The staff was very friendly and expressed their appreciation for the tourists return to Cuba. Tips were not demanded at all and staff was grateful when tips were given. Cubans are poor but very proud.
  8. I never had the opportunity to meet Mike but I feel like he is an old friend. I enjoyed reading his many posts on this site. He will be missed. He will be in my prayers. Condolences to the family. RIP Mike.
  9. Very Sad to hear. He used to be a waiter at one of my favourite restaurants in Vaughan. We always shared cigar stories. He will be missed.
  10. I just got back from Varadero. There were no drinks/coffee to be had and no one rolling cigars at the two LCDHs I went to. Having a smoke was not an option. They only let one person in at a time to buy cigars and leave. Selection is limited. All cigars are priced in US dollars and no cash is accepted. Credit card receipts are in US funds. That was my experience anyway.
  11. After missing out on the BHK52s I decided to fly to Varadero for a short 4 day weekend. I'm here now and went shopping today. I went to both LCDH in 63 and Plaza America. Selection is limited but not terrible. Prices are not crazy. I can post prices for what I bought but not sure where and I don't want to break forum rules. Weather is much better than Toronto 😎
  12. I'm going with PSE2 #2 and Coro #1. Truth be told I love them all!!!! I love to mix it up.
