Campanas

Campanas (3/5)

  1. If sold/delivered in plastic, eg Jose Piedra, I always leave the cigars wrapped as delivered until ready to break open the box to smoke.
  2. Out of respect for @El Presidente, I’ll not say what I’m screaming inside to say about your comments. This is not the place for you. Now, where is that ignore button?
  3. @El Presidente, is the wind calm, or is it breezy? Calm, I’m outside; otherwise, inside.
  4. You know the invitation is always open to you and your lovely bride.
  5. The room has a dedicated 1.5 ton HVAC with three charcoal filters. Also, over the smoking area, there is a 300cfm exhaust fan vented outside, and for good measure, a Rabbitaire filter with carbon filters. The room also has two windows that create cross ventilation that I raise when the weather is right. The room is the only room upstairs, and it is encased in spray foam insulation.
  6. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ozXCJ7e2bAxAhPJT6 This is where I smoke every day. I’ve posted this shameless brag before, so I feel a little guilty doing it again. Not really. Turn the lights down low, and settle in to my chair with my favorite Cuban cigar, which is ANY Cuban cigar, and my favorite cocktail, a Cuba Libre made with Diplomatico Mantuano Rum. Turn on the 77 and I’m in my Happy Place. My wife and I spent 20 years living in a small bungalow, saving and investing for our retirement dream home. We spent two years working on our house plans, and I spent hours designing my man cave. After throwing out several design themes (sports, speakeasy, beach, etc.), I finally decided to try to create something that reminded me of Havana. We’ve made two trips to the island, and, as those of you who’ve been know, that place has a way of getting into your soul. So, long story short, this is the result.
  7. I have a National ashtray (thank you Mike and Dana), but I want one of these, too.
  8. Thanks for sharing. It’s good to see Jorge. Looks like he’s doing well. He spent the better part of a day driving us from LCDH to LCDH, always cheerful and friendly. I’m so happy this all came together for you and your family.
  9. You’ve got to tell him, Mike. You would want to know. I say that, but a friend of mine brought back one of those 4-packs for me from there a few months ago, and I didn’t have the heart to tell him they were fake. He was so proud of himself for only paying $30. If he had wanted to smoke one together, I would have told him.
  10. Is Fincato still open? Been a few years, but that was a pretty nice cigar shop.
