  1. I asked a question in the suspect cigar forum about this. I ordered from a source which has been accused of selling fakes(didnt know that when i placed my order). Both boxes checked out but i have heard that doesnt necessarily mean the cigars are real. So are counterfeiters able to get legit serial numbers and place them on fakes?
  2. Northern Californian here but welcome
  3. In n out, Al Pastor, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, bisquits & gravy
  4. Thanks for the response. Im not too sure about the source. Ive read mostly good and some bad on the seller. To my untrained eye everything looks good.
  5. Im also a big fan of the Elder. Ive stood in line for the last 2 years for the Younger. This year it was a 6 hr wait and last year it was a 2 hour wait. I dont think i will do it again
  6. I ordered a box of Partagas D5's and a box of HDM Palmas Extras. The serial numbers check out on Habanos website but after looking into the company i ordered them from it sounds like they have been known to sell "good" fakes. My question is do fakes make it past Habanos authenticity check? The Partagas came sealed and the HDM's were opened
  7. What i really like about bourbon is the value. As far as spirits go the qpr cant be beat. List of bourbons i drink the most but not in order Buffalo trace- the best value out there Four Roses small batch Elijah Craig 12year- I prefer this over the 18 by a lot Bulleit rye Im not a fan of the wheat bourbons such as MM. The nose is really nice but it just doesnt do it for me
  8. Out of those cigars i have only tried Gran Habano. I havent tried any CC's yet. The Gran Habano was a nice mild cigar with a creamy vanilla taste to it. Good QPR and one i'll be buying again.
  9. Usually i just drink water but i also like to smoke with rum and bourbon. For rum i like Appleton and for bourbon i like Buffalo Trace and Elijah Craig 12yo. Im a student so price is generally my deciding factor. I enjoy scotch but i cant afford the ones i have liked.
  10. I recently had a cigar at a friends wedding and it was one of the most relaxing experiences ive had. It was a brown label tatuaje. I enjoy wine(i am studying enology) and i made all kinds of connections between that cigar and a nice wine. After doing a little bit of reading i realized there are a lot more connections than i realized. I look forward to learning more about cigars and trying different cigars. This forum seems like a great place to learn.
  11. Some great reccomendations. Some other wineries worth checking out in the dry creek valley would be Sbragia(great cabs), Bella, Quivira, Dutcher Crossing, Mauritson. etc. Honestly any where you stop in Dry Creek will have good wines. And dont miss Unti especially since you like the Italian varietals. Russian River is right there too but unless you like Pinots you may not be interested. Theres some nice tasting rooms in downtown Healdsburg too like Down Town tasting room. Im not too familiar with Napa. I like the feel of Sonoma so i always just go to that region.
