Just really a sad time for the island, doesn't sound much different than the special period years ago. Wonder how this will change as time goes on I also wonder how much of the increased pricing will trickle into their social services. I'd be hopeful it would be a lot but also suspicious it will be very little. I imagine most things people need are available on the black market and brought in from elsewhere. It's obvious that the US embargo holds them back in many ways, however I'm sure there are many deficits that could be solved even with the US embargo in place.
