  1. A quick post for anyone who's free this coming Saturday 7/4 and is interested in a few cigars and drinks in the CBD. We're starting at 1:30pm. Message me for more details. Cheers, Matt Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. Tucking into this. Been holding onto it since the 2015 Havanathon. Thanks @LordAnubis!
  3. Love good coffee and have sampled many different shops across Melbourne (although so many pop up it's hard to keep track). Double espresso is my drink of choice, and being in sales i range between 3-8 cups a day. Whilst I've got my favorite spots around town, at home I'm a lot more lax. For the most part I'm only making coffee on the weekend. My setup is a mid end home espresso machine and grinder (i.e. pretty basic). I try to purchase my coffee as freshly roasted as possible and have a handful of places I purchase from. Don't measure weights, but when I change to a different bean I will spend a bit of time (~3-5 coffees) playing around with the grind and tamp to figure out what I like. Aside from all of this the coffee I mainly drink are Vietnamese Coffees, which I must admit is more about the sweetened condensed milk .
  4. Haha. Cuisine? Budget? Anything else (I assume child friendly as there are 3 preschoolers)?
  5. Thanks for the great night guys. I didn't even notice the Wu-Tang sign until it was pointed out here haha Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
  6. Enjoy all! I'll be there in spirit. Sent from my E6853 using Tapatalk
  7. Geelong would have more work options, but I think it would still be possible to find something in Warrnambool. Walking around at night shouldn't be an issue, but every person is different. We've got some members here in the Geelong area, so hopefully they'll chime in. @bolivr works at Deakin in Geelong and will have far better insights than I.
  8. It's been a long time since I've had the Yamazaki 12 so I won't comment on that one. I recently had the Chita Grain. I haven't really had too many grain whiskies, but I wasn't a huge fan of this. From memory I found some initial fresh fruitiness and then it was overtaken by the alcohol. Short to medium finish. For the price it wasn't bad, but for my pallet I'm also not rushing out to buy. Many others seem to enjoy it.
  9. What are your thoughts on the bloody shiraz Ken? I recently picked up a bottle and am looking forward to opening it up. They sell a 3x200ml sampler pack on their website which has the standard expression, negroni and bloody shiraz. Might be a good intro to Four pillars for anyone who is curious.
