Type of leaves in short smokes

Hi all, I am curious to know if they can manage to put all the 3 main kind of leaves in a small vitola with a 40 or less ring gauge.

I have heard that typically, Ligero is removed.

Can anyone chime in with ideas? Grazie

I think the size (ring gauge) below which ligero isn't used is 38 or 36.

I will have to go back and search my literature but it seems like the 36RG number sounds about right.

From a taste point there is plenty of flavor in the 40's and still lots in the 38's but you have to start managing your smoking style once you hit that 38 mark which might make a difference.

I remembered watching that and I think 40 ring was mentioned as well. Without ligero.

I remember pulling apart Partagas Connie 3's and there was certainly Ligero in there.

Remember the day I gave Hamlet a Connie 3 to smoke at my house one evening. As many of you know, Hammy would rather go blingless than smoke a cigar of that minute size. He adored it. It was his first one. He couldn't work out how you could get such power and balance into such a small cigar. Mind you that was 8 years ago now. How time rushes on
