  1. I enjoy my CC's but have way too many NC's to give up on them. I find that when I switch back and forth daily between CC's and NC's, I don't appreciate the NC's so I try to smoke all NC's for a few weeks & then just CC's for a few weeks, etc.. This helps use up my NC stock (and enjoy them) and gives my CC stock more aging time.
  2. Welcome on board! Nice to have someone else from Connecticut - I'm in Fairfield county - you anywhere near?
  3. Several stores in the New York/Connecticut area are carrying it now. I am normally a single malt drinker but I tried it - just as a change of pace - and enjoyed it alot. I also would highly recommend trying it.
  4. Thanks for sharing! I live about 15 minutes from there but didn't even know it was there. Looks nice - I will have to check it out.
  5. Interesting topic! I am a long-time NC smoker and started trying CC's within the last year. So far I have had nothing that really wows me and I have tried a wide variety of good cigars including many HQ's from our sponsor. For me, the NC's I smoke have much more flavor than the CC's and are much more enjoyable. Most of the CC's I have tried have been in the range of 6 to 18 months old so I have been wondering if either: they need more age or smoking NC's has biased my taste for cigars or maybe I just don't like CC's.
  6. Don't know if it is too late, but if there are still available, I'll take them.
  7. Balvenie Doublewood is a good start. Smooth single malt's also include Dalwhinnie 15 and Glenfiddich 18. Keep in mind that most people can't just jump right in and start drinking scotch - it is an acquired taste. I travel a lot so I started drinking it on planes where I could take my time and sip it. Once you start appreciating it, there is nothing like it. By the way - please don't mix single malts with ginger ale - or any mixer - - it makes me cry to hear that - LOL
  8. I would defintely recommend Padron and Illusione and Tatuaje (I like the Havana Angeles). You also might try the Fuente Don Carlos (#4 is a nice size)
  9. Actually the Flor de Oliva was s decent cigar. It was just too much - probably take 3 hours to smoke the whole thing and it wasn't that good that I would keep it for that long !
  10. Not quite as wide - but for the big cigar lovers - Flor de Oliva Giants - 10 X 66. I bought a pack a while ago but I got too many wise-ass comments when I smoked one!
  11. Hi everyone. I just joined FOH and saw your posts. I can't make it that day but I would love to come down to the city some time for some smoking/drinking/eating. Keep me in mind for next time. Thanks.
