Hi All,

I got a box of these about two months ago,ABR 2010.

After about a month they have evened out and are now smoking really well.

Nice dark wrapper, with an aroma of chocolate unlit.

Flavours I get are coffee, chocolate and slight cream, getting spicey towards the end.

Definitely a rich cigar, reminds me of a poor mans dip 4,being slightly less cultured.

If you lay em down, they would smooth out well.

really good value.

Just wanted to give an update. So I ended up killing this box in about a month which is the fastest for me and I want to retract my original post. These have been amazing! It was the weirdest thing, t

A fantastic budget cigar. I smoke through a box a month of the PE's and never get bored of them. I have had a few boxes with the dark wrappers but I do prefer a lighter wrapper on them. They are much sweeter with a lighter wrapper. One box (dark wrapper) I had earlier this summer was off. I swear it was the Partagas Super Partagas boxed in a PE box. This does happen from time to time, it is Cuba! :)

Recently, I bought a box to give away as a promotion for my company. I wrapped each one with a simple label I made on my mac ( I am a graphic designer by profession)

So construction, draw, burn etc. are reasonable on these, being machine made/hand finished?

Yes. They're well constructed and handmade. Mine had excellent draw and the burn was good.

These were machine made up to 2002. Handmade since. See here.

I stand corrected then.

I was basing my info on the website of the B&M you were trying to get to for the bespokes yesterday, and also here ...

http://www.cigars-review.org/Hoyo-de-Monte...almas-Extra.htm ... and also the disparity in pricing with other HR cigars of the same proportions.

...I'll need to check these out. Thanks.

Bought a box dating back to 2003 with old bands and they smoked alright. Very good money for a hand made size like this!

Nice buy.

I've never seen these aged, but would get them if I saw them.

These are a mainstay everyday smoke for me.

I just received a box on Tuesday from a friend that went to Cuba (along with a box of ERDM Demi Tasse). The aroma was really nice. Cant wait to try em out in a few weeks.
