Email Notifications not being sent!

Everything was good and was receiving email notifications on various forums and topics prior to the changes. I stopped receiving them but then it started working again. But now I'm in the same boat as before and nothing is coming through.

I tried subscribing and unsubscribing, changing notification types, but still no luck. No emails whatsoever.

Anyone having the same issues? Any known fixes?

I need my fix of FoH to get through the day!

Hmm.. Can't figure it out since I was getting them fine and nothing changed as far as settings go. Nothing in the junk mail either since the address is saved my address book of receipients.

I guess I'll have to try a few more thing... Sigh

After the upgrade all of my email notifications went to spam until I marked them as "not spam."

Have looked in my Junk Mail and Trash everyday as well. Just not getting the emails. Very frustrating...

There were some changes made to the server yesterday that may have knocked the notifications offline. I'm looking into it.

[update] No problems to report, everything looks good from our end. Over 1500 emails sent from the site already today.

It might be worth checking your Junkmail and/or firewall settings.

Would there be anyway to see if my email address is linked to the Cigar discussion forum "the water hole" on your end? and/or add my email manually to the subscription list?

Pretty much tried everything I could possibly think of and still no luck..

Thanks in advance

  • 3 weeks later...

Me too... Not junk, I run a scrip on my FoH mail that labels them 'not junk' and then files them into a separate file so that they don't clog up my email box and I can quickly scan them.

The Wizard of Oz needs to check the boom box!!! -LOL

well the emails returned briefly, but no nothing....and with this site being blocked from work it's a real pain in the arse that we are not getting email notifications.

Rob & co, can you please look into this?

Thanks

Me too. Not receiving email notifications for private messages or followed forums/ threads. I was getting them up until about a week ago.

We've had some issues upstream at our new SMTP provider. We normally pump out a couple of thousand emails per day from the FOH forums, but there's nothing in there at all from today.

It looks like this has been happening on and off for a week. I would have responded sooner but...ah...no notifications : /

I've reverted back to our previous provider which will hopefully resolve the problem. I've also notified our web host of the issue, in case our web server firewall is blocking access to the SMTP server.

Apologies for the inconvenience, unfortunately we don't control all of teh interwebs. I'm on it and will not rest (except to sleep, eat, play with the kids, catch a movie etc) until this is solved!

Work faster!!! Or I want my money back! -LOL (read with jest of course)
