Perlas (1/5)

  1. The Cuban that I have purchased the most of and always have at least one box of. The flavors just work for me.
  2. Not sure about across the board, but my box of Connie A's have a lightish shade wrapper and a wonderfully balanced sweetness to them.
  3. Have a box of Connie A's LUB MAR 14. First couple sticks have been outstanding for a young cigar.
  4. After having just about all the robustos out there, my most recent box of BRC from the prep have by far been the best. I've received other robustos of the same grade (psp/hq) from him(side note - all rea)y good), but I was amazed how the BRC were rott.
  5. Exactly, as long as Rob still lets us purchase from him, who really cares. The only thing I foresee being an issue is possibly the supply.
  6. I don't know, I like a variety. Although ones over 52rg are somewhat uncomfortable (getting a little more used to a 54).
  7. On a side note to what the others posted, I think it's a personal choice as to if they are worth it. I've had some that don't do much for me, and others that are beyond delicious. Most recently and still available the Boli EL 2014 and Party EL 2014.
  8. I completely agree. Nothing expands my capacity for creative thinking like a good cigar and nothing restricts it like TV. And I have to say, this might be the first long post from PigFish where I understood every part of it! I'm moving up in the world fellas...
  9. I just received a box ARG OCT 14, so they are out there. If I hadn't, I would have done all I could to get the one box posted in the 24:24 last night. Damn that was a good price too...
  10. Pre-light, I don't do anything. During, I always drink something and for some reason it has to be more than water to break up the taste of the cigar and refresh my palate (coffee, iced tea, but mainly alcohol - beer, wine, whiskey or rum. The one thing I don't drink before or during are pales, IPA's and DIPA's. I love them and drink them probably more than anything else, but the bitterness doesn't go well with any cigar (for me).
  11. Count me as one in group 2 who also enjoys reading some of the details from people in category 1. The long detailed posts on rh levels isn't going to change my perception on how to treat my cigars (hell I don't even understand what some people are getting at), but someone with little experience might get freaked out thinking they have to do such in order to enjoy the hobby. So as long as everyone is respectful to one another, all sides having a voice is a good thing, including - relax, it's just cigars.
  12. I certainly feel some nicotine from cc's, but not like a lot of the nc's (thankfully). Yes, it's similar to the description you gave, except it creeps up on you and can last way longer, unlike a cigarette that packs a big punch upfront and then dissipates.
  13. I guess I don't normally smoke in the middle of the day when it's that hot. I either have one in the morning or once the sun starts going down. I do this only for a more comfortable setting and not a well performed cigar, but from the sounds of it I'm killing two birds with one stone.
  14. Wow, the wrapper on those puppies are making my mouth water! Thanks for sharing Miamipadronsmoker.
