  1. My home state's and city's situation can best be summed up by Texas's own late great guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan hit song "It's flooding down in Texas". Man, I love and miss me some SRV. BTW, answer to the is, watch movies on my laptop, watch sports on tv, cook and clean, practice my new hobby wet shaving and sleeping. I'm very unevolved.
  2. Again as a newb, I was smoking every day but five mths in I've modified that to only smoke on the weekends now at night under the stars (sadly mosquito season has made these 3 days-Fri Sat Sun-more difficult).
  3. Faux Facebook cigar club members, who purchase tons of premium cigars at inflated prices to display and when they do post a picture of smoking one, its unraveling or they're smoking through the band. Non-cigar: people who are so engrossed in portable devices they tune out the world around them at the risk of their own safety. An MMA fighter was hit and killed by a Range Rover recently after he didn't see nor hear it due the headphones of his portable device.
  4. I use to keep the one's from smokes I liked, toss the ones from smokes I didn't. I also thought about keeping them as souvenirs but actually just discard them with the ashes and butts in my ashtray. Although, I do admire the well done ones-they're like art-pretty to look at and admire, but sadly one more thing of no value adding to the clutter. I wish I was more sentimental. I do collect cigar boxes though, but fewer and fewer make the cut nowadays.
  5. Cinco de Mayo (pronounced: [ˈsiŋko ðe ˈmaʝo]; Spanish for "May 5th", or literally, "Fifth of May") is a celebration held onMay 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over French forces at theBattle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is sometimes mistaken to be Mexico's Independence Daythe most important national holiday in Mexicowhich is celebrated on September 16.
  6. http://www.houstoncigarlife.com/davidoff-flagship-store-in-houston-river-oaks-district/ After an unexpected delay, Davidoff's Houston Flagship Store is open for business. It features an open, non-members cigar lounge and a Houston only Davidoff Houston Edition cigar that can only be purchased at this store.
  7. As stated earlier, the Pats have no first round selections. But, if I remember we don't have a selection in the 2nd neither, but they have 6-7 picks late in all the remaining rounds (many compensatory picks). Hopefully we can find a lot of younger two way players to add to depth.
  8. That was a beautiful stash. Please smoke everyone. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  9. His were the first cigar videos to help me as a newbie. He's rough around the edges for sure, but his informative video on seasoning a humidor made realize that there is too much misinformation floating around the cigar world.
  10. Used to be everyday or every other day. I'm a newbie and thought that it would refine my palate. But, now I just smoke on the weekends.
  11. Cranberry juice, Apple juice and anything mango, pomegranate or blueberry.
  12. Never saw this kind of table top lighter. Any idea of the make, model and price?
