  1. For the money you can't beat Weller special reserve. If you enjoy makers, you'll love weller. Weller is a weated bourbon from buffalo trace distillery. Buffalo trace is another great bourbon for less than 25$. Eagle rare, is fantastic as is basil hayden. A new bourbon I just got introduced to is clyde may's straight bourbon is an absolute stunner but more pricey.
  2. CORO Tubo from a recent 24:24. My first, but certainly not my last. Thanks Rob! You and your team are first class!
  3. One misplaced "h" in the title could be embarrassing...
  4. Monte 2 on the beach. Ugliest in the box, and probably the most sublime. Funny how that works.
  5. HDM E2 Back Patio in Lihue. Magical doesn't begin to describe this place or cigar.
  6. Ammonia (odor/flavor) is a normal by-product of under fermentation. The only remedy is time. I'd wait six month and try another, if ammonia still present, wait another 6.
  7. I'd be hesitant with "thawing" them in the fridge. A refrigerators purpose is to keep products cool and preserved. Part of the preservation process involves removing moisture. You could dry out your cigars by doing this...skip the fridge.
  8. May be the funniest thing I've read in a long while! ?
  9. Not to add any fuel to the fire but this has been my experience. I live in a rather tropical climate and prefer during the warm months to take my sticks and leave them in a ziplock bag slightly open on the back patio where temps reach the mid 90s during the day. During the cooler months I like to take the sticks, wrap them in a moist towel, and set them on the counter in the bathroom during warm showers. I believe that returning the sticks to temps and moisture levels suitable for growing tobacco is the only true way to enjoy a smoke. But hey I'm purist, what can say?
  10. You should check out the tissot visodate. Sleek, simple and less than 500$.
  11. Bosch and Dewalt fan here but have just recently bought a few ridgid products and been very impressed. The Ridgid life time warranty is hard to beat!
