fingerburner
Aromas of muted tea, gentle shaving soap, and a soft cedar fade. Delicate and enticing. Silky, reddish brown wrapper that is almost greasy to the touch. A slight crack near the head being the only blemish. Opens with subtle intensity and great concentration of flavours that include floral talc, cinnamon, and dry pine needle. Intricate with plenty to ponder - exactly what is required for such a short format cigar. Super impressive balance with just enough grunt to suggest some ageing will not diminish the enjoyment for years to come. A medium length finish with an aftertaste reminiscent of weak Earl Grey tea and sweet spices. Floral and satisfying. Mild intensity overall with excellent construction that stays firm throughout the duration of smoking time and a complexity that shames most larger cigars. As good a short format cigar as one could hope for. Box date: MAY 2011 Rating: 94
