He's been gracious enough to share some of his CCs and now I'm hooked. Today, I received my first box (PSD4s) and am going to order some of the other "classic" CCs before venturing into some limited editions or regional releases. Hi Ken, I know Calvert Woodley well. I'm guessing MacArthur's was the other shop you recall. I've enjoyed the banter between you and Rob in the YouTube videos. Point scores and reviews miss out on the context. If I'm eating fish tacos on a beach I don't want a 100 point Napa Cab. None that I can think of off the top of my head that really correlates - it would be something like a poorly sealed humidor allowing exposure to something "off". There is of course improper leaf processing (fermentation etc), but that might fall under production issues. As for "corked cigars" the one thing that comes close is when a cigar goes through a "sick period". A cigar or an entire box will give off an ammonia smell. This happens if the leaf undergoes another fermentation process. On the plus side, this is not a permanent state like a corked wine.
