Campanas

Campanas (3/5)

  1. Been busy with the newborn and couldn’t find the time to take pictures of some recent acquisitions - words will have to do: - another bottle of the Ardbeg Uigeadail for casual drinking. - another bottle of the Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old (current release) for casual drinking. - a 1 litre bottle of the Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old, an older bottling that I was gifted. - a bottle of the SMWS 1.204 “Blackberry lemon pavlova”, a 20 year old Glenfarclas that was on sale by the Society. - a couple of bottles of the Arran 18 Year Old (distillery standard release) that are on sale. - a couple of 1 litre bottles of the Laphroaig Quarter Cask that are on sale. - a couple of bottles of the Glen Moray 18 Year Old, just released in Australia.
  2. Curious looking cigar - looks like Transformers?
  3. A couple of bottles of the 2002 Talisker Distillers Edition (2013 bottling) ordered last year during the usual end of year sales arrived today. Managed to get these for about $20 less per bottle than the regular price for the standard 10 Year Old - quite a bargain as they make quite good drinking, even more so at that price.
  4. A couple of bottles of the Laphroaig 25 Year Old (2016 Edition).
  5. Pre-Christmas and the pricedrop race on the new release Penfolds wines have begun with - got this half dozen case of the 2015 Penfolds Bin 28 for $100 off RRP per half dozen case.
  6. Another 4 bottles of the 2015 Penfolds Bin 389 - these are on sale at the moment.
  7. A couple of bottles of independent bottlings of Clynelish and a bottle of Octomore 7.2.
  8. I am not sure, I have never attended one just heard of it when I was still at uni and always wanted go one day, perhaps even get a barrel at auction. Hopefully there’s still opportunity.
  9. Some vintage Australian wine: - a couple of bottles of the 2005 Glaetzer Godolphin. - a bottle of the 1998 Redman Wines Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon, selected for the third annual Coonawarra barrel auctions and released as part of the Coonawarra Barrel Series No. 3.
  10. Yes, the price of their new 16YO is quite a bit too.
  11. Another couple of bottles of the Longmorn 16 Year Old from the recently discontinued bottling batch. Managed to get a really good price for these.
  12. A Bolivar Corona Gigantes and some Starward 10th Anniversary Australian malt whisky.
  13. A gifted double magnum of the 2015 Peter Lehman the Portrait Barossa Shiraz. Also a couple more bottles of the Ardbeg Dark Cove.
  14. Sampled some of the Arran 18 Year Old and the Arran the Bothy Batch 2: Also the Glenmorangie Astar 2017 Release: Excellent releases, all three have very clean profiles. Particularly impressed with the Arran 18 Year Old, the sherry component sings harmoniously with the malt and wood on the palate. The Glenmorangie Astar has the best nose of the three and the palate is noticeably more mellow than the original release.
