  1. I'm with Stogieluver, I mix things up when I have a drink on my hands that is boring by itself. For example, if I have a boring tequila I'll mix in some bourbon or vice versa. The Maestro Dobel I just went through got kinda old for me but mixed with some Wild Turkey 101 it was a lot better!
  2. Really? How do they equate mold spots as proof of good health of the cigars? I'm not a mold snob by any means but I'm curious if this is true, a reference to plume/mold misidentification or what. Thanks.
  3. Another vote for kitty litter. I got many pounds of it for practically nothing. I haven't added moisture to my coolers in probably two years. Rock solid.
  4. sign 31: you can recognize how sign 28 and sign 30 conflict without missing a beat, lol. Nice list, I'm guily of too many of these!
  5. This thread is kind of blowing my mind. All the Encantos I've had were wonderful to say the least. I've not had a PLPC that I've even liked. Maybe I've had bad luck with the PLPC I've had opportunity to smoke, some were aged more than 5 years. Are they really that similar? Wow, maybe I need to order a cab.
  6. I think educated consumers like a lot of us who don't care about the band are in the minority, most are attracted to a flashy presentation. Look at Cohiba's presentation, it's so flashy it practically has Las Vegas written on it. I would change it. I would lower the price as well. This alone keeps me away from buying anything but Principes. Yeah, the others may be good, but more than twice as good? I'm on a budget, as are most people, and why would I spend over $200 on a box of cigars when I can get a box of Principes for half that and that happens to be the vitola that gets all the press to boot? When it comes time to drop some coin on San Cristobal I'm thinking: Principes, no-brainer.
  7. I love Sierra Nevada, one of my favorite breweries. They bottle condition their pale ale so as a homebrewer you can propagate their wonderful Chico yeast and have your beers taste sooooooo gooooooood!
  8. When I feel like a tasty cigar with some sweet flavors I reach for Rafael Gonzales. Creamy, vanilla, honey and sweet spices and more. Yum!
  9. Having smoked a ton of NC in my life I can't think of a single one that is as flavorful and complex as most of the standard production CCs. Some are good, yes, but better? Not by a long shot.
  10. I just finished off a bottle of Rioja Antano Tempranillo which I bought at a little Italian deli for about $7. It was very good, much better than most of my $10 bottles I have access to around here.
