  1. Cattleya family, possibly laelia variety. A while back we kept these and other flavors of orchids. For a plant that thrives in a crack in a rock or a crotch of a tree, people seem to have trouble raising orchids. Water and food, gentle sunlight, warm place to live, it can be a fun hobby.
  2. Occasionally I have tasted cilantro when eating soap. It's a bit off-putting.
  3. You might want to put a timer on the circuit, so you can leave the fan on for a few minutes after you leave the garage.... Also, if you use a two speed fan, you can turn it up if you have guests helping you smoke the place up.
  4. another bump................I use this site regularly, and have done so for years. excellent source.
  5. Amphibious...I can easily drop a cigar with either hand.
  6. I have had good luck ageing both. Out of the pack/box and into a cab for a nice nap. Currently finishing a box of Quintero with around two years on, the difference is easy to taste, when I opened the box they were pretty rank. Also working on a couple of boxes of Piedra that have been napping for 3 plus years. (in a cab ) It's not as noticeably different from fresh except the construction feels firmer and the burn is better. Maybe a bit more aromatic. If these budget cigars are rolled from leftovers from regular production, why would you not expect to have changes in taste with some age? I have smoked a few Quintero from the 80's that were surprisingly full and very nice, but that strain of tobacco is gone. Time will tell if the current strain will measure up it......
  7. Component country of origin and wrapper variety Relative strength Date rolled... One of my pet peeves is my coffee vendor, they spend 3 paragraphs telling me about the grower's father, his donkey, elevation above sea level, where his kids go to school, how many hectares his field is, and on and on. How about flavors and roasting recommendations? I will need this info since I am the guy roasting the coffee. It's nice to know a little about cigar background, but it is not an influence for me to buy.
  8. I really do think a faker would be more alert when releasing such a flawed box. HSA, on the other hand, has a long history of shoving nearly anything into the pipeline. As far as what to call the box, it fits nicely into the "Overpriced " category.....
  9. not curious, thanks. another gimmick to separate you from too much $$$$$...
  10. just to be sure, I checked out a box of Small Clubs today.... they were uncut.... Yep, there was a band.
  11. Dalmore Cigar single malt was the first I remember seeing, a few years back. for me, regular Dalmore was a better pairing.
  12. La Gloria MdO 2 and Hoyo Des Dieux. both went away around 2014, I miss them so........
