  1. Thanks Heaps guys! have 3hrs layover over the Italy and 4hrs on the way back to Oz. trying to arm myself with as much info as possible before I get there. Looking at some singles over to Italy but a box or two on the way home.
  2. Hey Guys - going to be flying through Dubai in a few weeks. Cannot find any info on prices/range etc at the LCDH in the emirates terminal. Any info would be awesome Thanks
  3. This is my first review, to be honest not the best palate compared to what I have seen but you have got to be in it too win it right! Thanks for the opportunity Rob. the cigar has been paired with the new Cuban inspired coffee pod from nespresso. he cigar is firm to touch with a little "spring". There are faint veins through the cigar with a nice caramel colouring with a beautiful sweet smell. prelight draw (punch cut) is good possibly a little loose but we will see ....... 1st third; very smooth start with earth and creamy flavours prevalent early. The draw is very good. Expecting a beautiful 32 degree day here yet there is a bit of wind about so lighting the cigar was interesting even with a jet lighter. Initial burn is a little uneven but this could be due to my lighting efforts this morning. moving towards the end of the 1st third the flavours have not changed much other than the earthiness slinking off into the background. 2nd Third; as mentioned above the earthiness is still there but the creaminess is the overarching flavour. As the 2nd third evolved I was expecting to get some shortbread flavours coming through but this was not the case. I was getting more caramel although not in the por larranga character. There is sweetness but I would say we are move leaning towards a burnt caramel profile which was interesting. burn has improved but not 100%. the coffee pairing with the particular marca was a solid choice. Final third; Burn has improved dramatically at the beginning of the final third. Flavour profile has not changed much but the strength certainly has, I can definitely feel the increase in tobacco strength. Finally!!! I am getting the shortbread profile showing it's face with beautiful buttery sweetness there with the pickup in intensity. Great finish to a very consistent cigar through out, although there is a little bitterness as we hit the "nub". Overall an outstanding cigar from start to finish. I started my dalliance with cigars 2yrs ago with larger formats in particular piramides and I was lucky to enjoy a 520 very early in the piece. These formats have now graced the rotation and I must say I enjoy them including the short, principe and half corona. For anyone who is reading thank you, as always any advice is welcomed.
  4. Mine sits at 68-70 now but I also had issues early with it inconsistent across shelves and hitting 76-78. I found the more boxes I had in there the better it became. Empty to begin with, now full but ha ha
  5. I concur! pyramid - cohiba, the "2's", extra belicoso robusto - epi 2, jl 2
  6. Singles are a good starting point, well it's what I did anyway Find the flavour profiles you like and run with them. Monte 2 was my first and 520 my second not a bad introduction i think ha ha
  7. Both great cigars, lean slightly towards the lusi
  8. Being a relative newbie I have now got to the stage I am buying boxes. Can I get some tips on setting up a fridge so Pres can make some more money off me I don't wanna to invest 100's on 300-600 count humis if it is as easier as everyone says to use a wine fridge.
  9. Awesome day for us newbies - Look forward to the next one
