  1. I'm glad someone revived this thread on a night I polished off a box of 2006 El Principes. As is evident from the commentary, the problem is the smokers, not the cigars. The cigars have nothing going for them except taste and consistency. That's not what sells.
  2. Dew point of 62 is ideal with a temp over 70. Hotter means LESS mold.
  3. I'm not sure what's more upsetting, that mine is from the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever or that it tells me that I was born 20 million minutes ago.
  4. At what point will you learn not to engage?[emoji135]. Block it!!!
  5. Who needs vegueros when you can buy vigias at three times the price?[emoji15]
  6. You have to know how to buy trinidad, thats for sure. No room for amateur hour. Too bad the brand is basically discontinued.
  7. Yes...I assume that the OP is using beads, which can either make a rain forest in your humidor if soaked too much or get dry if the seal is not good on the cooler. BTW, the best way to protect against beetles is to freeze. Or to buy Davidoff and Fuente. Then you don't have to store in arctic temperatures, you can keep your cigars warmer and don't need to worry about anything.
  8. The only benefits I have ever seen from ziploc bags is that they prevent humidity from leaking out of your cigars if your humidor gets dry. This is why British vendors see better results when they keep their cigars in ziploc bags "whilst" storing at 55 degrees farenheit. Obviously, at 55 degrees farenheit (5 degrees below the dew point that I like to store cigars at) you would have to have a rain storm in your humidor to keep proper humidity so the fact that the cigars are in ziploc bags slows down the destruction of good cigars that they probably should be storing at 65-75 degrees farenheit.
  9. This sort of makes no sense. Setting your standards as low as "dog rockets" and not "dog rockets." You know there are much cheaper ways of enjoying tobacco than cigars if your upside is "not a dog rocket." There are a lot of quality cigars out there with Cohiba bands that do not suit my taste. Doesn't make them "dog rockets."
