  1. Artin, I have an external thermometer that keeps the range between 52 to 56 so it doesn't run all day. I have beer that is more than 5 years old and have no issues with it. Each shelf will hold ~3 cases of 750ml bottles so make sure you look into how much weigh the shelves can support. The maker on this unit is Summit and was the only one I could find to hold the shelf weight. Cost was ~$3,000 including white glove delivery. Hope this helps.
  2. Just saw this thread and I must say, that cellar is a thing of beauty. Wish I could do something like that but space and temperature fluctuations stint allow it. I had to go with this instead but it works.
  3. I keep my loose singles in 5 finger bags. Mainly for protection from chips and cracks and they stack so they are easier to store. As far as slowing the aging process haven't really given it that much thought.
  4. Partagas 898 - from fresh to ones with 7 years on it, just nothing about it has said wow; mediocre at best. Anything from Cuaba
  5. All you can do is all you can do. If you can't change the people around you, change the people around you.
  6. As a baseball fan living down the street from Angels stadium, let me thank you now for Mr. Freese. It seemed like the Rangers had our number, sticking us with players AFTER career years, Gary Matthews Jr & C.J. Wilson and then it was Josh Hamilton (not after a career year). Now it seems like the Cards were next in line with sticking it to us, Mr. Pujols & now Mr. Freese. Thanks goodness, I'm a Cubs fan......................
  7. Couldn't agree more. A "candy" store if I ever saw one. Spend hours upon hours in there.
  8. Back in May when Fox news ran an interview with Mr. Overton a few industrious BOTL on another forum found his address. "Bombing" commenced to help with his 12 cigar a day ritual. I do believe there was also some whiskey involved. Now that this has been brought up again, I do believe a belated Veteran's Day thank gift is in order.
  9. Greg, I personally prefer the #1 by far over the #2. If you don't have to make a decision quickly, I'll send a #2 your way so you can have a better idea for yourself. I believe the #2's I have are a 2012 box code.
  10. Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Zacapa El Dorado 15
  11. Matt, The "12" bottle ages well also. Try it at 18 months (that's the longest I've been able to age it, lol) and it is fantastic.
