  1. Another bottle of the Springbank 9 Year Old Barolo Cask Matured. Sufficiently impressed with this release, I have had to obtain another bottle.
  2. Hazelburn 9 Year Old Barolo Cask Matured. This is an excellent bottling and contrary to the norm, this Hazelburn has a touch of peat which gives it that additional layer of complexity. Fans of all things Springbank will rejoice.
  3. Having this with some New World Projects Starward PX Cask No. 3. Cold weather calls for some single malt whisky.
  4. Partagas Shorts from the 2008/2009 batch, second last stick. Always a pleasure.
  5. And now for something more sensible, a couple of bottles of the recently released 2015 Te Mata Estate Coleraine - these will be for the long haul.
  6. Haha, I actually got it because it's 17.8% and not fortified. I would imagine this would have been one of those manufactured wines targeting the "Parkerised" palate back in the day - wouldn't be surprised if they cost a bit back then too. I got these because I wanted to see if they hold up to some age. That and I have some mates who would enjoy this style.
  7. Four magnums of the 2008 R Wine the Wine Shiraz. A rather luxuriously packaged wine: heavy matte black bottles sporting a psychedelic barcode motif, individually housed in heavy cardboard boxes complete with outer cartons. Weighing in at 17.8% alc with about 3 years in oak, this would be a massive wine.
  8. Some premium Australian red wine: - a magnum of the 2006 Katnook Odyssey Cabernet Sauvignon - a bottle of the 2010 Wynns Michael Shiraz - a couple of bottles of the 1998 Wynns Michael Shiraz - a magnum of the 2002 Howard Park Cabernet Sauvignon - a magnum of the 2004 d'Arenberg the Dead Arm Shiraz - a magnum of the 2005 d'Arenberg the Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon - a magnum of the 2006 d'Arenberg the Dead Arm Shiraz
  9. Some Rowan's Creek bourbon.
  10. Some oldies: - a bottle of the 2004 Yarra Vale Vineyard Reserve Shiraz - a bottle of the 2002 Chateau Reynella Basket Pressed McLaren Vale Shiraz - a bottle of the 1994 Wynns Coonawarra Michael Shiraz - another three bottles of the 2001 Elderton Ashmead Single Vineyard Cabernet And some not so oldies: - a couple of bottles of the 2005 Clarendon Hills Brookman Syrah - a bottle of the 2012 Wild Duck Creek Yellow Hammer Hill - a couple of bottles of the 2006 Clarendon Hills Moritz Shiraz
  11. Yup, had a couple of bottles of this about 5 years ago - it's good stuff.
  12. A couple of bottles that are on sale:
  13. Had these at the private club last night to go with the bottle of Glenfiddich 30 Year Old. Surprisingly modest markups for the cigar. Eminently enjoyable.
