  1. FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Tatuaje Black Label. The last of the Black Labels that I have, these came in those black torpedo tubes. They just don't make non-Cubans like they used to.
  2. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

Wife's back from overseas and got me some duty free: - a couple of bottles of the Laphroaig Brodir - a bottle of the Kavalan Solist ex-Bourbon Cask
  3. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

Some single cask, independent bottlings at cask strength: - A bottle of the 1991 Ben Nevis 24 Year Old bottled by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection series. Wholly matured in cask no. 3834 which is a sherry butt. - A bottle of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling no. 39.139 dubbed: "A most luscious remedy". A 20 year old single malt distilled in 1996 at the Linkwood distillery. Matured for 19 years in an Oloroso sherry butt, then matured for a year in a Pedro Ximinez sherry butt. - A couple of bottles of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling no. 46.47 dubbed: "Mexican breakfast". A 14 year old single malt distilled in 2002 at the Glenlossie distillery. Matured for 13 years in an Oloroso sherry butt, then matured for a year in a Pedro Ximinez sherry butt. My Friends of Laphroaig allocation this year: - A couple of bottles of the 2017 Edition Laphroaig Cairdeas, this year's edition is a cask strength quarter cask matured Laphroaig. - A bottle of the Laphroaig 10 Year Old Original Cask Strength Batch no. 009.

  5. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

A couple of bottles of an interesting looking release called 'Vega': A 23 year old blended malt (pure malt) that has been bottled unchill-filtered and at cask strength from a vatting consisting of a number of single malt whiskies that have been matured in sherry and bourbon casks. Bottled by the young independent bottlers: North Star Spirits for their 'Limited Edition No. 1' series - judging from the colour, it would appear that there is a healthy proportion of sherry cask matured malt used in its makeup. These bottles are two of the 400 bottles available worldwide. Something totally left field, a couple of ceramic flagons of Stone's Original Green Ginger Wine that was specially released to commemorate their 275th anniversary: Yes - I got these because of the ceramic flagons.

It's a non-Cuban cigar. Medium bodied, well balanced and constructed, flavour profile is similar to a cross between an El Rey del Mundo and a Romeo y Julieta. One of the finer non-Cubans in my opinion.
  7. FOH'ers Daily Smoke

S.T. Dupont Reserva Especial Lonsdale with some 2001 Jimmy Watson Trophy winner.
  8. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

Some recent wine pickups: - another couple of bottles of the 2005 Irvine Grand Merlot - another bottle of the 2012 Irvine Grand Merlot - a bottle of the 2013 Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Shiraz - three bottles of the 2004 Tahbilk 1860 Vines Shiraz - a couple of bottles of the 2005 Clarendon Hills Onkaparinga Syrah - half a dozen bottles of the 2001 Rosemount Estate Traditional Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Petit Verdot - a couple of magnums of the 2006 Hentley Farm The Beauty Shiraz - another magnum of the 2004 Vasse Felix Heytesbury Cabernets - another magnum of the 2006 Mr. Riggs Shiraz
  9. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

At a local bottle-o. However, believe forum rules prevent me from divulging its identity. [emoji51]
  10. Agreed, smoking a cigar can dry-out the tonsils a bit. Some fine 'neck lubrication', in whatever form, especially when enjoyed in good company, does help increase the overall enjoyment.
  11. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

Some more Australian wine: - three bottles of the 2010 Cullen Diana Madeline - three bottles of the 2005 Yarra Yering Dry Red No. 1 - three bottles of the 2010 Yeringberg Cabernets - a bottle of the 2008 Yeringberg Cabernets - a bottle of the 2010 Yeringberg Chardonnay
  12. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

Another bottle of the Glenfiddich Experimental Series #01 IPA Cask Finish that has been marked down due to packaging damage and misprint. This particular bottle is earmarked for consumption in the near future.
  13. So, what are your recent acquisitions?

A couple of bottles of the William Grant & Son Rare Cask Reserves Cruinnich 21 Year Old blended scotch whisky. A limited release of 4,900 bottles for the Australian market only back in 2014, and only available via a rather famous local retail chain. Information on the web indicates that a group of Aussies, having won a competition held by said retail chain, were spirited to Scotland to help with the selection of the casks that would make-up this blend, guided by none other than Brian Kinsman, famed master blender of Glenfiddich. Blended for the 'Australian palate' whatever that means. Anyway, my guess is that this is probably intended to go head to head with the likes of the Chivas Royal Salute and Johnnie Walker Blue Label as it does belong in that category.

Could try your hand at converting them into humidors afterwards.
