  1. Monte No.3 RAE DIC 14 Just realized Coronas aren't included in this week's review contest. Oh well, no regerts 😉
  2. Number 3 has a beautiful oily and mottled wrapper. Visually quite the opposite of cigar #2. Perfect draw and construction.
  3. Do Hollywood is the debut album of The Lemon Twigs. I discovered them about 5 months ago and can't stop listening. Took my wife to see them live and now she's hooked too. I recommend you find the album and throw it on repeat.
  4. I get cashew flavors from H.Upmann Royal Robustos. That's about the only cigar I can think of in recent memory with the a nutty profile.
  5. It's much different. The Necron99 is fruity (tropical?), sweet, and not very complex. ZD on the other hand is bitter, hoppy, and has more of a citrus fruit taste. The label on Necron99 says "Scorch-style ale" so I was expecting a malty scotch style ale. What a surprise to taste a west coast ipa style instead.
  6. Upmann No.2 MEG JUN 16 with a Three Floyd's Necron99 American IPA. The picture doesn't show the nice "brindle" wrapper. Construction is excellent
  7. Pre-light: Nice dark wrapper, a few noticeable veins present. Floral scent at the foot. A straight cut reveals a very nice easy draw with the same floral taste. After lighting up I get a floral grassy taste. Halfway through the first third still has nice floral taste but now with slightly fruity and maybe some leather present. Getting a familiar dry smoke taste/feeling in my mouth. Second third is a change to more leather and tobacco taste. Strength picking up. Final third chocolate comes in. Still has leather and tobacco taste but also slight fruity taste again - cherry? Strength picked up again - of yeah, I can feel it. Delicious cigar all the way down to the nub.
  8. SGA JUN 16 ERDM Demi Tasse for breakfast. Smoking wonderfully
  9. LOL Stop, I have work tomorrow... Maybe 10 years ago would be a different story
  10. Wife out of town and the kids are at the in-laws for the night 😁
  11. Out in the garage after I finally got the kids to bed. Fired up the Monte #1 from the Christmas Sampler. Perfect draw on this one and has a silky smooth wrapper. I've been digging these Northeast Style IPAs. This one is from a local brewery, canned just 2 days ago. I like the fruity, juicy flavors and love the bright, cloudy color. Plays well with the slight citrus taste in the cigar. You can see the color better with the flash on
  12. At my buddy's tonight watching the Blackhawks game. Excellent cigar, good beer, and Hawks win the extra point in shootout.
  13. It's been a while since I've had a RAS. One of those cigars I always enjoy but often overlook. Great pairing with this malty sweet Scottish style ale. Has kind of a dried fruit tasting finish that seems to bring out the berry fruit flavor of the cigar.
