  1. As readers might recall, about a month or so ago, we started an upgrade to the website packaging information. Stage 1 required transferring all the text data into a database. Stage 2 involved changing from packaging abbreviations to full descriptions. Stage 3 involved adding extending the search functions to: Search Cigars (a revised find or identify feature) Search Brands (unchanged) Search Releases (unchanged) Search Packaging (a new search feature) Search by Dates (existing “Lists” upgraded) Advance Search (an upgraded search anything page) Stage 4 involved a new way of displaying “clickable” images. Rather than opening a new browser window, the larger image is shown on top of the current page (that is greyed-out). Basically this work is now complete. Alex has done a fantastic job with this major upgrade/improvement. We have also added a list of pre-1960 Discontinued Brands, to which will be slowly added Logos & Bands (where available).
