  1. I’m still confused about where’s the best location to put the hygrometer in a walk in humidor. I have 2 calibrated hygrometer and each one can show different readings when placed in different shelves. A bit annoying for my OCD’s 😅 Any input is highly appreciated.
  2. So far I have calibrated my hygrometer always with the salt-method. This works quite well with normal (small) hygrometers. But it is not really practical for my permanently installed humidification-system in the humidor cabinet. Therefore I have now built an electronic psychrometer. It consists of two electronic thermometers and an Arduino. So I can quite easily calibrate the hygrometer in the cabinet. Maybe this is interesting for some in the forum. In my blog I described the construction in more detail.
  3. Hi guys, Its been a long time since my last purchases and I am starting to get back in the game I ordered the Meade TM005X-M hygrometer and placed it the the wine-cooler which is pretty empty as I only have one box atm. Anyway, TMALSS do I need to calibrate the hygrometer or its just 'place and forget'? Don't pay attention to the data, I just put all the systems to work, hopefully it will level on 65%RH~ P.s. the Temp is in C.
  4. Hi everyone I'm mike I live in Virginia with wife and 2 sons. Some new friends introduced me to cigars and I'm hooked. Can't belive I've wasted 40 years that I could have been smoking. As I said new to smoking cigars and am forced to smoke on a budget so any suggestions on a good value price cigar would be welcome. now to try to contribute to all of you anyone needing a good hygrometer i found a Meade TM005X-M on casa.com then if you add a Kikkerland Kikkerland Casino Bottle Opener you'll be over $35 and get free shipping then put in coupon code SPRINGCASA20 to get 20 % off so end cost for both is $28.78.
