Up until then I had never heard of this and was hesitant to think a single malt from India would be any good. Much to my surprise, I was very wrong as it's remarkably good. Very smooth, aromatic, fruity with hints of cocoa and vanilla. @Ken Gargett would even say stewed tinned fruit I iwll definitely look out for their other range of single malts in future. krish the fish Posted April 7, 2017 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Just got an email from my wine storage facility that my cases of Lopez de Heredia 2004 Tondonia and 2006 Gravonia. Also got my first order from Repris winery (fell in love with their Moon Mountain cabernet and their Sauvignon Blanc when we were in Sonoma a couple weeks ago) as well. And Saturday should be exciting... finally will get my hands on my absolute favorite bourbon in the world. They are into the drinking window that I prefer, with secondary flavours of cedar, leather and earth to go with the fruit. I think that Monte Bellos are the most elegant wines to come out of California and I prefer mine with some age. I've had 2005 and 2006 over the last 6 months, and both are drinking quite nicely but still young to my palate. If you decant the 2013 for a few hours and pair it with a good steak, I think you'd be a happy man. As for long-term potential, I hunted down a 1971, of the fabled Judgment of Paris tasting, a couple of years back. It was fantastic, and still had at least a few years left.
