Ryan
Great stuff as always Punch Joe. One thing I've wondered about is why workers in the despalillos (stripping rooms) are predominantly women. Even before the revolution women working in a tobacco factory were normally in the despalillo. In all the times I've been in stripping rooms in factories or sorting/stripping houses, I can't remember ever seeing a man doing the work. Any idea why women are seen to be suited to that job more than men, that is, other than tradition?
