2014 Blind Tasting Competition - Cigar No. 4 Reveal

Reveal time!

For many, cigar no. 4 was a case of 'close, but no cigar' tongue.png

Cigar No. 4 was - a R & J Exhibicion No. 4!

I received numerous guesses for the R & J Short Churchill (although length and RG would have knocked out this option - duh! laugh.png) and the SLR Regios. The fact that these guesses were scattered in the submissions frequently is testament to some of the 'tasters' we have here, and also signifies the difficulty involved in a blind taste test! Both of these cigars have similar profiles (I will generalise and say they feature "fruity notes") and identifying this is a credible effort in itself ok.gif

Some members were quite disappointed with this particular cigar. No construction issues, but there was a large percentage of reviews featuring "muted and bland" comments. Possibly not something worth smoking right now, but perhaps in a year or two's time. There are certainly fans of the marca out there!

Cigar no. 4 meant 4 more participants joined the leaders on 2/4. 6 lead the pack with the final cigar remaining. Just a friendly reminder that "the winner (who can correctly identify the most cigars) will receive a $500 USD/AUD cigar credit. In the event of a tie, prize is will be split"

On we go to the final cigar! spotlight.gif
