It is upon their heads. Turning the other cheek and being apologetic for our western culture is not solving anything. We are at the beginning of some of the most horrific times in history and it saddens and scares me. I was brought up to love and respect all people regardless of color race or creed but I am learning to hate. I am learning to be suspicious. You think that bringing up the crusades in some way explains what is happening now. What you have just posted is part of the problem we are facing right now. A fear to call a spade a spade and a ridiculous need to say yes but look what we did a few hundred years ago. Yes back in medieval times many people did medieval things. You know what the glaring difference is here. We are not living in medieval times, well at least many of us aren't. You know, I never agreed with that policy during WW2 but it came about because of fear and perhaps a memory of then recent history regarding what the Japanese had done to the Chinese at Nanking. They lopped of more heads than ISIS have to date. The difference is that the Japanese became our friends and we all moved on in history. We are currently facing a group of people who have openly stated that they will kill all of us and prevail over this planet. Please not I said a group of people because I do know that not all who follow a certain religion are of a like mind. This is the hope that we all must cling to. And you are right ElPuro it is a discussion we need to have and it does need to be a respectful one. Nothing is ever advanced through anger. Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted November 14, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted November 14, 2015 yet another terrible tragedy that should never have happened. blaming all of islam is as silly as blaming all christians for the appalling acts of a minority of priests or so many other things which have occurred across history (interment in WWII is more a political decision rather than a religious one). that said, it must surely be time to do whatever it takes. i think one of the problems is that many in the west perceive that this is representative of all islam and all muslims, which it is obviously not. but the fact that there so often seems to be such a lukewarm response from the majority of the muslim world gives the impression that there is, at the very least, tacit approval. i don't believe that, but i worry that if there is not a more obvious response, the divide will soon become irreparable. 7 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There are a lot of deranged people out there and sadly for all Muslims, their religion is being used as a vehicle for madmen to carry out these barbaric acts. I'm not religious but I do not consider any of these terrorists to be Muslims. They are bloodthirsty cowards, the lowest of the low. Simple. I reject their false affiliation to any religion.
