SaintMickey®
Not that way! I use soft flame around wrapper and then torch on the "inside". Works best for me. Torch flame can make the wrapper burn uneven or even cause runners. My experience.
Kbb
Mostly soft flame. But the furnace is unique for sure.

Thomasdenaro
that takes lighting a cigar to the next level, normally i just use a jet lighter
DBNInc
I really prefer spills, but in windy conditions I have no choice but to torch.

canadianbeaver
Anything that makes fire. We found that our fanciest lighters broke, the big ones run out of juice fast, the small ones... whatever. So anything. We still like lighting sticks from cut up cedar from boxes sometime too. CB
Knilas
Electric stove. J/k..lol. Matches or a spill. Then soft flame. If too windy, Vectren triple jet... Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
mnmlst
If I'm not fortunate enough to be near molten lava or the engine of an F-16, my next choice is a cedar spill. Light first, cut or punch second.

BrightonCorgi
I find the flames off the back of a vintage V12 Ferrari's exhaust make the cigar gassy tasting. Cedar spill or a Dupont cigar flame lighter.

Danimalia
For years, I was a soft flame guy. Mostly butane lighters. I messed around with spills and matches, but never noticed enough of a difference to make them worth the extra effort. For the past year or so, though, I've been using torches. Particularly for anything >44RG or so, the convenience factor just won out. To each their own, of course.
JamesNYC
I prefer but seldom use spills, then a long wooden match or a jet lighter depending on wind conditions and availability of spills or matches.
