Turning a closet into a cabinet humidor

Hello

So I decided to purchase a cabinet humidor only to realize how expensive it is.

I purchased a standing closet with a glass door. Its made of wood. Dont know what type...its seconed hand purchase.

In my country there ia no spanish cedar for some reason.

Will it be ok to store the boxes in a regular closet?

Any tips? Also how should I keep it cool during the summer?

I have RH beads to spread around the humidor for humidity.

Thanks!

You should identify what kind of wood was used to make the cabinet and determine how it will stand up to the high humidity levels. Some wood will inhibit the growth of mold and you could have a perfect environment for mold to grow on the walls of the cabinet.

If you can't get any Spanish cedar into Israel (making an assumption based on your profile info). You might want to seal the interior to protect it from the moisture.

Do you want an honest answer?

Keep the A/C set at 21*C

Great, put those and your cigars into tupperdors, put them into the closet, and set the A/C to 21*C. It'll work like a dream!

Thanks!

You're welcome!
