Popular Post Akela3rd
I'm halfway through this box and it's less than a year old. With my other two boxes I'll try and age them longer but, but, but you know the rest...This is a lovely cigar and I keep coming back to this box for another hit. Firm, slight box press softened by months in my desktop out of the box (3 left in here). Sweet smelling and the sweetness translates to taste on lighting. I'm driving with this one and it should last the journey - planning you see? It's quite mild to start, which is usual but into the end of the first third starts to pick up with a biscuit, baking flavour. The burn is good throughout and the open car windows don't affect it (London traffic...). The draw is slightly tight but good and the sweet flavours of the kitchen keep coming. The last third shows more tobacco and wood and unexpectedly goes out on me. Never had that before with one of these. Relight and a slight spice to the finish.I'll make sure to keep my remaining ones for many years - shame to have lost this in 2017 cull. JohnS
I agree, it's a shame they're now gone. I have the same box code safely tucked away for opening sometime down the track.
