Old forums?

13 posts in this topic

When I use tapatalk to view the forums I can still see 'HQ Selections', 'Premium Select Program', 'Premium Economy', 'Aged Selections'

Are these forums still in use or is tapatalk not updating itself to remove them? Do you have any idea how to remove them from tapatalk?

Cheers,
Michael.

Sounds like Tapatalk isn't updating. Pretty sure those sub-forums are long gone. I know I can't see them any more.

Maybe clear the app cache?

Hmm no go, deleted the cache and data, deleted the folder removed/reinstalled but they still show. I'll keep trying!

Ah it's a back burner job. It's probably something on my end unless everyone else with tapatalk is seeing them.

I can run a cache update in the back-end to see if that clears Tapatalk.

Leave it with me, I'll give it a bash in the morning.

I see them on Tapatalk - I just thought they were areas you needed to qualify for with 6 months & 100 posts...

There's no way to clear server-side cache as there is no longer a server-side cache unless it's enabled via Memcache or similar, which is not installed on our server for system performance reasons.

What looks to be happening is the old forums still exist within the forum software, but no user groups have access to them. Tapatalk is ignoring that and showing that they're still there.

The solution is simply to delete them. I'll ask Rob what he wants to do there.
