MrStixx
Curious if anyone uses HCM beads and their thoughts over HF beads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
luvdunhill
I use them. They do their job and never really compared them to other options. I use HCM in my wineadors and Boveda in my tupperdores. You need way fewer HCM beads per volume than Boveda packs, so that’s why I chose them for the Wineadors.
Mattb82
I used HCM and they started to smell like a$$. I’m guessing it’s the absorption traits and then are commingling everything in their aroma. I’m going to give heartfelt a shot when the cabinet gets here
shaffer22
I use Heartfelt tubes to supplement my active humidification in cabinets. They do a fine job and I’ve had no issues. I use Boveda for my desktop at work.
tsolomon
I have both and prefer the HCM beads over HF. I primarily use HF in my small humidors and HCM in my large coolidors. I'm slowly switching over to all HCM as the HF beads turn brown and nasty looking. The reason for my preference is that the HCM beads seem to be more stable and require less maintenance over time.

Blakes
I have 1 humidor with HCM's and keep meaning to switch the others which currently have HF. Like someone mentioned mine have turned a brown/yellow colour and smell awful.
Artin
My Heartfelt beads have never turned a different color. I replenish them with distilled water around every 3-4 months. They’ve done a good job at keeping humidity stable. I’ve had mine for about a year and half.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
shaffer22
I should mention that I never add water to mine. They’re used only to reduce the ambient RH when it gets too high. Perhaps that’s why I’ve not had issues with the HF beads.
luvdunhill
Oops, misread.
Homer
For my experience Boveda is better than beads. Some of my heartfelt beads smells like some sort of chemical. Bovedas don´t smell anything.
