A smoking experience second to one.
My best cigar experience in my three years of cigar enjoyment is a 40 YO Davidoff No 1. My next best experience was the Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios. Having read so many good reviews about this cigar I decided to plunk down my cash and get a 10 count box. My friend who frequents Cuba, now being a cigar smoker himself, obliged me a couple of boxes.
I took a couple of Genios and invited my good friend out for tapas, drinks and cigars at the Park Hyatt in Toronto. Great place for a cigar during warmer months FYI. I gifted him a 3 count travel humi and inside I stuffed a Mag 50, Monty 2 and a Genios.
He brought along a RyJ Churchill to smoke but after seeing the Genios, we had to dive in.
When you hear Rob, Smithy and Ken talking about smelling and tasting cocoa and chocolate in a cigar this is the cigar that exemplifies it!
Smoking this was like eating dark chocolate, licorice, baking spice and cinammon to name a few tastes. Along with the taste you had a cigar that was put together like a champ, burned in a straight line and drew with just the slightest resistance. My regret is that I only have 8 left. I am going to have to pick up few larger count boxes and let a few sit.
