  1. Past hour
  2. I would not consider any Citizen watch something as an investment. Quality for the money perhaps, but I think you could do a lot better especially considering used. Look for very good to like new condition. I don't think box and papers are that important at your price point.
  3. ESL Ago 2017 Montecristo No.1, courtesy of our host...
  4. Catching up for brunch with my son and his girlfriend at a surburban cafe...
  5. Thanks for that link! I'm going to check them out. Definitely looking for something dressy/business style. Perfectly fine with quartz, absolutely. Day and date is really all I would need as "must haves" From some of the reading I've done it sounds like Citizen is a quality maker too
  6. 7 years old should be past any sick period it might have gone through. No?
  7. How is it treating you? I ask because I have some 2017's and the last one reminded me nothing of the Sig line, was pretty meh. Hoping it was in a sick period.
  8. Would you consider a used watch? Do you want something sporty or dressy? Are you fine with a quartz or need it be automatic/mechanical? Are there certain functions you want or need (date, day, chronograph, 2nd time zone, rotating bezel, etc...)?
  9. Today
  10. A 3 yr old Epi 2 to start the day. The draw is good, burn eh?
  11. I'm looking to get myself a watch, nothing too expensive or crazy but something nice that I can wear daily and have forever. Open to pretty much all styles. No more than $1,500 USD but I've seen a lot of nice looking pieces in the $500-$700 range too. Just don't know what I'm looking at LOL or what I should be looking for. Any of our esteemed members here have any suggestions on a quality timepiece I should look at? Or maybe some things I should be looking for in a watch? I have always loved the look of Movado, but I'm not sure of their standing or quality in the world of watches. I want to make a good decision if I'm spending a decent amount of money. Thank you all.
  12. A bit behind posting lately. Some purchases for the past few weeks... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. 16 oz. electrolyte water with 11 gr. Metamucil and a magnesium tablet.
  14. Canning? That is for simple vandalism. Time to take the kids gloves off if we are to eradicate tobacco use.
  15. Not a purchase but a gift from colleague. Curious if anyone tasted this already🤔
  16. Here's the doc. Euro wide, but UK wanting it's own implementation https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/tobacco-track-and-trace-compliance/tttc2050 So if you buy a single cigar it must be scanned I guess. Ah, ok so end user retailers don't have to. The supplier has to scan when delivered to the retailer, then it ends https://www.acs.org.uk/advice/track-and-trace
  17. Possibly my favourite. Understated but complicated and has one of the most beautiful movements. The photo doesn’t do the dial justice. The colour and finish of the lacquer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Start with two of these guys and see where the day takes you
  19. I still have trouble discerning what, exactly, is meant by "maduro". I feel that all tobacco used in a cigar should be "ripe" or "mature" for use in a smoke. Nevertheless, I recall Davidoff marketing their original "Maduro" cigar as having an especially dark wrapper that occurred "naturally" as compared to a dark wrapper that achieved it's "maduro" color by way of a special fermentation process. I'm having trouble finding ads or press releases related to this via internet searches, probably because Skynet is self aware. However, I was smoking cigars at a particular Davidoff merchant back-in-that-day, and I also recall the Davidoff sales rep discussing how Z.D. did not particularly care for Maduro cigars...which he implied contributed to the development of the unique maduro wrapper used for the original release. That's what I recall, but I can't prove it. I'm still interested in trying the new Maduro.
  20. Before heading home, stuff your gob with a HSP (Halal Snack Pack). Fresh, crispy hot chips, topped with kebab meat (chicken, beef and lamb), melted cheese, then coated in the holy trinity of sauces (chili, garlic and barbecue).
  21. LOL thanks, it's a cuban fresh roll, brought back by a friend from Cuba
