El Habano Moderno
Trevor2118 replied to Mr. Japan's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
I can recommend Alex's book as much more that a printed copy of the website. I have been privy to the development of this book and have seen several proofs of the whole book, and I have been amazed at the amount of in-depth information included. Alex has my full support and encouragement. I have no doubt this book will definitely (100%) go ahead. -
Tribute to Colt45
Trevor2118 replied to El Presidente's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
A great loss to the forum. Colt was a mentor to me when I became a moderator and, as said above, he was funny, a little cheeky, but a great friend with a wealth of knowledge, both of cigars and life. Rest in peace mate. -
Great article on CCW and Alex Groom.
Trevor2118 replied to El Presidente's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Alex has done a great job, both before and after taking over the full work load required by CCW. I cannot thank him enough for his continuing development and improvement of the website. He is a worthy successor. 👍 Trevor Leask.- 22 replies

Best/Worst Car You've Owned?
Trevor2118 replied to MoeFOH's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Best: Peter Brock Director (V8 carb. Holden Calais). It did not survive a head-on. Worst: Austin Kimberley - Annoying habit of dying about halfway when pulling out into traffic. -
Nude N3 ROB HAM 19 (R90)
Trevor2118 replied to Meklown's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Hi Rob, Tried my first N3 yesterday (after 3 months resting). Perfect construction, absolutely perfect draw, and the first retro-hale was classic Partagas pepper, smoothing out towards the end. A beautiful cigar. Congratulations. Trevor. PS I'll make sure I get in early this time for the 2020's. -
I received an email from MRN this morning regarding Hong Kong's success in fighting the COVID-19 virus. MRN is an active practicing physician in Hong Kong and has reported that Hong Kong has had great success in today achieving ZERO confirmed new cases of the virus, and in fact over the past week, the rate has been in the single digits. He commends the practice of Social Distancing and the wearing of facemasks. This is one of the very few occasions that MRN discloses his profession, but he feels that as a medical doctor his obligation is to save lives. This is a picture of MRN seeing fever patients last March. Hong Kong (as distinct from Mainland China) has had great success in combating the virus and has excellent track record in medical care. For example: Life expectancy: https://www.macrotrends.net/countries/HKG/hong-kong/life-expectancy Infant mortality rate: Hong Kong Infant Mortality Rate 1950-2020

Not a Newbie to FOH but I am to this forum
Trevor2118 replied to korryp's topic in Newbie Introductions
Bring in is basically 5 cigars per person. The legal requirement is based on weight but 5 is normally allowed. Local boxes not sure, but if you are booked into a hotel for a few days, you could have a purchase (from your favorite vendor ?) sent there for you to collect. -
