  1. Prize from the Cohiba weekend review. This is a crazy world we live in where our hosts will mail out a free box of Cohiba for posting a cigar review. I thought I was lucky enough to have been purchasing quality CC’s for the last five years without ever having to worry about quality, authenticity, etc… Thank you FOH! 2. Not that I know of. But I’ve only ordered boxes from three well known vendors, and by some dumb luck I found this site not long after getting into CC’s. That reminds me of a funny story though. I was traveling in Jaco, Costa Rica with some friends a few years back - maybe in 2012 or so. A couple of the guys were out in town and found a cigar shop. I guess there was a house roller in the shop. My friends asked whether the shop had any Cubans and the response was no, but they would have some later that day. So the good guys my friends are swung back there later on before heading back to the rental, and sure enough there was a “Cuban” cigar in stock by then that they picked up for me. It had a Millenium Reserve band and was robusto shape. I have no idea what the cigar actually was but it smoked pretty decent that night with an Imperial lager if I remember.
  3. Monte 1 PSP from 24:24. The wrappers have that nice kind of oily glitter and they seem to be perfectly packed. Big thanks to our host for these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 2013 PLPC on a rainy Friday with sleeping kids. Perfect as usual from this box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Tasty CoRo on a nice evening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Has it been scientifically proven that the PLPC is the best bang for the buck bbq cigar? Even a rainy day can’t hold it back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I don’t know what it is about them but those Unicos series always hit the spot. They all seem to be rolled right and put out smoke like a chimney Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Hdm 2 and some kind of a Cuba Libre... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Very cool. Thanks for the review. Happy birthday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. What!! Wow. I can’t believe it. This really made my day. As if it wasn’t enough to have this forum and all the great info and reviews from everyone, it also comes with free smokes. I haven’t ever tried a Siglo I, but I’m looking forward to it. This should really convince my wife that my cigar smoking is a worthwhile endeavor. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Great review. I’ve never tried an Armagnac. The cigar and the drink both look excellent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I think the rain and humidity got me, but for what it's worth she put up a valiant effort and burned evenly down to the end. All in all I'll give it an 8/10. 6 for the cigar and 10 for the fact that the girls were sleeping at 8pm on a Saturday night in the first place.
  13. Cohiba Robusto from 2013. This box has been good to me, but the selected cigar feels a little tightly packed. Nice pungent aroma pre-light. 1/3 Draw is impenetrable. First 5 minutes spent ramming the draw fixer tool down its throat to get some airflow through this cement mixer. Begin to daydream of last weekend’s much cheaper PSD4. Got it loosened up but flavors still seem muted by the tight draw and possibly exacerbated by the humidity outside (it’s raining). Might not have been the best choice of a stick for tonight. 2/3 Begin the second third by dumping the ash on myself. A couple more rams of the draw tool and a fresh clip of the cap and we’re starting to get somewhere. Took a break to pour some Four Roses bourbon. Flavors are muted and maybe it’s too humid out with the rain. But the draw has finally opened up and some Cohiba grassiness and citrus is starting to come through. 3/3 Finally we're getting somewhere. Smoke volume opens up, typical Cohiba notes start to shine through, and I wish I'd met this cigar an hour ago. Conclusion: The last 1/3 doesn't offset the first 2/3, and I wish I went to the bullpen early on. Oh well, can't win 'em all. Total smoke time about 1:20.
