    How Has Your Collection Grown?

For me it was basically... Before 24:24 After 24:24 The Aristocrat arrived just over a week ago. Dream come true.
  2. Thanks for sharing! Like BlackFriar I'm impatiently waiting for my own Aristocrat which should be shipping any day now. You should have panned around and taken more pictures of the shop! 😋

The rise of the conscious machines

Are you sure this isn't just an excellent example of machine learning? Kidding aside, who is your email provider? If it's Office 365 I know a guy...
  4. I'd still expect to pay a little less for a used one, personally. Used Items depreciate, even kickass heirloom quality humidors. For what it's worth I just ordered an Aristocrat Commercial 4272 for under $2500 shipped. Was quoted 6-8 weeks turnaround time. It has sliding glass doors up top instead of cabinet doors but it saved a lot of money that way. The 4272 is 42" wide by 72" tall.
  5. Done. Happy to help. That site has been a great resource for me.
  6. I just picked up my Panthers season tickets last night. Been to a number of individual games but never had season tickets until this year. Here's hoping this year is as good as last year!
  7. Great job to the two winners. I'm just happy I got 1 out of 5 this year. Next year I'll shoot for 2 out of 5 and maybe in 4 years I'll win one of these!
  8. I've seen these theories on the internet myself as well. I saw one where "half the people" believe New Zealand used to be located NE of Australia. They even found some old obscure map showing it in that position, so obviously some sort of reality shift must have happened.
  9. Gah! I was positive this was a VR. Tasted like cocoa powder to me. But then again I was positive that RyJ Beli was a Sancho Panza. Oh well, I'm just happy I've gotten all my guesses submitted in time this year! Still got one more shot at another $25 discount I guess!
  10. Nope, I've never frozen any of my cigars. The only beetles I've seen were in a glass top box of fake Cubans that a well-meaning friend brought back from Mexico.

"Throw a Dog a Bone" Review Weekend

Last time you told us to review the cigars we love, and you gave out a 5pk of cigars that you love. This time you're telling us to review the cigars that we hate... is the prize a 5pk of cigars that you hate?

    Never Ending Story Comp: May

I agree that composition is worthy of fandom, But lucky for us Rob's taking whatever we hand him Though our entries may not be stellar The Czar's a fair fella And I bet his pick will come at random!

No, I was actually talking about pairing the cigar. Some people eat racoons, but I don't know who they are. I can plainly see why you'd be confused, I admit that the order of my phrases was abused. Next time I will endeavor to do better, But at the risk of this turning into a letter, Let me wrap this up, I won't say any more. Oh boy, it's time for 24:24!
  15. I can't decide whether this makes me happy or sad. On the one hand the FDA is infringing upon my personal freedoms in a way I don't appreciate, but on the other hand it may prevent the unwashed masses from getting their hands on the premium products that I currently enjoy. I sure am grateful that I've got such fantastic people to help me move some dried up leaves from a place where they're overtaxed to a place where they're overregulated and yet avoid the hassle of both.

Definitely a burglar, just look at his mask! That raccoon sure seems up to the task. Looks like you caught him red-handed, Celebrate by smoking something double-banded. And when you go out and kick the bugger in the crotch, Might I suggest pairing with a nice single malt scotch?
  17. This is one of the reasons I keep my inventory on an Excel sheet rather than one of the many web options. Love having this info at my fingertips.
  18. I've had Monte 4's that blow me away and I've had many more that leave me wanting. Sometimes both from the same box! I recently picked up a box of Petit Edmundos though, and I have to say I'm really impressed. More nutty and creamy with a bit of a darker note than the No. 4. I might be a convert.
  19. For me, $200-250 is the sweet spot. I don't even have to stop and think about the purchase at that point. Allows for more impulse buys. That's one reason I loved the LFDC Grandiosos, they allowed me to purchase a regional edition at less than $200. I'd buy a bunch more LEs and REs if they came in boxes of 10.

    Josh Norman Signs With Redskins!

Really liked this guy and really sad to see we didn't shell out the money to keep him. You're welcome, Ken.
  21. It was an 09. I remember more balance and complexity from that stick, but this one had more body. I can't wait to see how this box turns out after a few years, assuming it lasts that long!
  22. Cigar: Fonseca No.1 Box Code: UME NOV14 Review Date: April 18, 2016 (Age: 1yr, 5mo) Appearance: This box smells incredible! A really great barnyard aroma. This is a box I picked up on a 24:24 a little while ago and it’s PSP grade in my estimation. A perfectly crafted cap with a dark Colorado wrapper that has some nice sheen and splotchiness to it. First third: Honey, cream, a nice balanced pepper, and some subtle floral notes. Second third: The sweetness fades to the background, the pepper picks up a tad. There’s a slight leather note coming in. Third third: Body increases a tad, the leather asserts itself more, as does the pepper. The honey and cream have faded almost completely and have been replaced with a nice black tea flavor. Smoking time: Forgot to measure. I think about 1.5 hrs. Conclusion: So glad I jumped on these when they were available. They're considered discontinued by most, so it was a nice surprise to see them available. Aside from this box I’ve had one other example, a nicely aged stick that I got in a trade. It was equally as impressive. Fonseca may not get as much love as the other marcas, but I’d buy another box (or two!) in a heartbeat if they showed up on a 24:24 again. Rating: 95
