Bad tunneling. Help!
Hedgehog replied to Edward7's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
I use the same weatherproof tupperware containers from The Container Store. But I use about a half dozen 62% Boveda packets instead and my calibrated hygrometers register about 62-64% with those packets. I think it's helped a little. -

Henry McKenna 10yr is sub $30 at Costco and bigger liquor chains. Great bang for the buck and a slap in the face to some of the big names mentioned repeatedly in this thread who have removed their age statements over the last few years while raising prices at the same time. Too cold here in NY to smoke one of my own outside. Enjoyed one these Davidoff Yamasas at their 6th Ave store. Nice oaky and syrupy smoke so far. Would repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

Yes. The Oliva Melanio was by far the best of the 5 I posted. Amazing construction. Just look at that gorgeous ash. I will be picking up more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

Las Vegas cigar bars

Thanks to those who mentioned Parasol Up/Down at Wynn. Thread timing couldn't have been better as I was coming to to Vegas this week. I usually stay at Cosmopolitan which has nice balconies but this time I was staying at the Encore for business. Great place. Good people watching. Very cigar friendly and can bring you own, no cutting fee. Have some NCs for sale if needed. There were 2 other tables with cigar smokers so I didn't feel out of place. Whiskey prices not out of line for the area (Woodford and JW Black are $14 for example). Complementary nuts and chips Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro -

Aged Habanos Investment Return Study
Hedgehog replied to TheGipper's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
I actually think the 12% returns are quite good and probably beat the majority of other collectibles. It also handily beats the S&P 500 annualized return of 8-9%, including reinvested dividends, from 2003/2004 timeframe when the earliest boxes in the study were purchased. I think you might be spoiled by your 21% active strategy which is absurdly amazing if the track record is long enough. More information on that please! ?
