Your latest CC Purchase?
Islandboy replied to JayJay's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
In my world, this is as close as it gets to hitting the motherlode. The plan is the Punch Punch’s will keep me preoccupied while the Cohibas go into hiding. Using the Baker’s Dozen Accounting Method, this falls well within any 100 cigar limit -
new advert with ben johnson
Islandboy replied to Ken Gargett's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Watching this, I felt envious of the way you Aussies can see the humor in some of the touchier subjects of life so effortlessly....something we Americans seem to avoid lest we offend someone. Then I found this: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/summer/ben-johnson-gambling-ad-1.4115597 Hah! Guess we’re not that different after all. -
TOMATOS - vegetables or fruit?
Islandboy replied to Ken Gargett's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Sweet Maui onions are a fruit...might have to try this combo Tomatoes, definitely a vegetable. -
I’m relatively new at this, so take my limited opinion with a grain of salt. I think the guys in the know could use a few more photos, perhaps not so close together, and clearly showing the triple cap (or lack thereof) on the heads. Not familiar with the 2 twins, but to my knowledge nothing Cuban comes in cellophane (anymore). The Cohiba and the Monte seem pretty rough, but the bands appear legit to my eye. My 2 cents.

Damn....that’s scary.

Easter was good this year. Couldn’t be happier with what I see...and smell. A much richer barnyard aroma than I expected. -

Recluse Amadeus on a lazy Saturday in the garden. Quite pleasant for a NC...a nice blend of aromatic spices and subtle sweetness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

An excellent Sancho beli, followed by perhaps the most unique tasting cigar I've had - Paul Garmirian 15th Anniversary. Still not sure what to think of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Is that like "Cubanesque"...?

The one on the left is for use with Cubanish cigars -

Bit of a different take on the daily smoke today. Cleaned out the cup holders on my two lanai chairs, where I typically stuff the bands. Gives you an idea of what I’ve been up to for the last 3 weeks or so. -

I've gotta add the view. Typical after two solid days of gray and drizzly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Started the evening out bold and spicy, with a tasty Caldwell Long Live the King. Now it's cultured and elegant with a VR Famosos. Num num. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Trying hard to give my CC’s the rest they deserve, I dug deep on this rainy Saturday evening and came up with these worthy alternatives. La Aurora Cien Anos, and a Promethius God of Fire Serie B. Both quite pleasant. -
How much aging does the Punch Punch require
Islandboy replied to Isaac's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
Oh, sounds like you haven’t begun removing shelves to make more space. That should be on Planetary’s progression list, under items 3 and 4 -

I saw this in our Maui Costco a few weeks ago....a new item. I immediately envisioned the perfect application. I’m not out of space yet, but that day is coming soon. I think I need one. https://www.costco.com/YETI-Tundra-45-Quart-Cooler.product.100350199.html -

Heading to Hawaii on Fridaii
Islandboy replied to canadianbeaver's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
A resort area about 30 minutes outside of the downtown Honolulu/Waikiki area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, good for relaxing. Hit the beach/pool right away....hope I’m wrong but a bit of weather is forecast to move through the islands this weekend. Either way, Have fun!- 59 replies

Pretty tasty Don Carlos Personal Reserve. Construction and burn is second to none. For the money though, I’d still take a CC. -

An Edmundo to celebrate Guinness’ 13 birthday. He’s the spoiled dog next to my partial mugshot.
