  1. I don't think that you will really notice the drawers once the top sections are loaded up - it only stands out at the moment because they are empty. Maybe stick a few cabs or boxes in and see what you think then. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. Parafin (wax?) as a lubricant for the runners would risk tainting the contents wouldn't it. I'd go for candle wax. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Looking good. Have you considered using something like an aquamac 21 lip seal mounted in the carcase to give an airtight seal for the door? Not sure if they are available across the pond but guess you must have something similar. Only issue would be that it is easier to machine the groove before assembly. 4. Why have you got an Electronic Humidification system and Boveda's - surely it is either one or the other. It looks to me as if you have your Adorini set too high - try removing the boveda and adjusting the Adorini to 65%
  5. I was struggling to find somewhere acceptable to SWMBO to house my small winedor and came up with what I thought was a cunning plan - hiding it in the fitted wardrobes that I've just built for our bedroom. If I'd thought of it when I was actually designing the wardrobes I might have done it slightly differently, but it does the job! 20171103_190510_262109016419355.mp4 PS. 6. A couple of very nice humidors. Making a couple of humidors is on my to do list and I have sourced the same smarthinge from Andrew Crawford that you have used, plus some Spanish cedar from Belize and I have the other wood that I intend using too. The idea is to make them to match this bedroom furniture that I've recently made -Afromosia carcase, Maple drawer fronts and Wenge handles. Hope to have some time to myself over Christmas and the New Year to make a start. For your humidor, did you work to some plans or did you make it up as you went along?
  7. Just wanted to introduce myself now that I've been accepted to join this community. I've smoked cigars on and off for the last 15 years or so, but only fairly recently started to take a bit more interest in the hobby. Still got a lot to learn, but enjoying the journey so far. I now live in Liphook, Hampshire, in the UK, although have spent many years working in Francophone Africa where the climate is much more conducive to smoking a cigar of an evening - plus it helped keep the mossies away! Cheers, Moteyi.
