    FOH'ers Daily Smoke

Decided on a NC for this evenings smoke. I haven’t been a huge fan of Alec Bradley in the past and this is the first time I’ve tried a Tempus Natural. In my opinion this is a very nice cigar. Complex with a nice blend of caramelized brown sugar and coffee notes. Very smooth!
  2. I have the same opinion of cryptocurrency as I do (did) of Enron. No way!

    Box of the day

Silky smooth and oily wrappers. Love the colour!
  5. I always enjoy a good RASS. Don’t really care for the Cohiba Siglo I’s I had recently, then again I’m not a huge fan of the Cohiba taste profile.
  6. This is a sad day for the small business owners who will undoubtedly be put out of business because of this legislation. I’ve occasionally purchased cigars from Canadian stores despite the outrageous taxes. Going forward I will no longer be purchasing cigars in Canada as I do not wish to aid and abet erroneous plain-packaging (or taxation) schemes. Following the government logic here plain-packaging laws should have already been applied to sugary, fatty and artificial foods (many of which directly market towards children with their current packaging), alcoholic beverages, sugary drinks, fast food, household chemicals, cellphones, cars, granny’s pie and every other consumer good that’s ever been accused of being bad for us. Hell, I wouldn’t mind plain-packaging being applied to all the election campaign signs these lying skin sacks will be putting up in the fall. At least I know that kind of plain-packaging will be good for my health 😂.

    What's your latest CC purchase?

Just got back from Cuba. I’ll post more later with box codes and open boxes.

    What's your latest CC purchase?

I'm going to put these down for awhile, glad to (finally) have one of the newer releases from this marca!
  9. The only "Axis of Evil" I see here is the mop that man calls a moustache. Someone ought to give that thing a trim 😂.

Successful Pairings - Spirit + Cigar

My alcoholic beverage of choice when it comes to pairing with cigars is rum. Here are some of my favourites: Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva (sweeter) El Dorado 12 year Ron Zacapa 23 Plantation 20th Anniversary XO Havana Club Selección de Maestros for fuller bodied cigars (I could only find this in Cuba) Baron Samedi spiced rum - more on the budget side; as a stand-alone sipped straight its pretty decent, pair it with a cigar however and it just comes alive.

    What's your latest CC purchase?

Girlfriend just got back from a cruise. She managed to pick these up for me in Sint Maarten at Cigar Emporium. I'm liking the age on these!

    Large ring gauge

My experience has been the exact opposite. I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other when comparing non-Cuban and Cuban Cigars, merely different. There are bad cigars (Monte open, cough) and there are good cigars. As for “gimmicky crap” I think you could find evidence of that in many products/brands/consumer goods. For the premium price and the sometimes lack-lustre flavour profiles of REs and Limitadas, I’d definitely describe some of them as gimmicky crap. Like you said, it’s marketing. As a side note I’ve never smoked any Big Hillbillies so I could be wrong about everything I just said 😂. Of course this is all just my opinion and you know what they say about those.... Lol, the more I think about this hypothetical Big Hillbillies brand, the more I laugh! What if it were real?.......ha!

    Santiago de Cuba rum

I was in Cayo Santa Maria in April/May and Santiago was as plentiful as the Havana club.
