  1. You end up with a free holiday essentially. You’d also be very unlucky to get stopped coming back from the EU before Brexit but that’s a different story. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hey guys, I will hopefully be travelling this week. Taking the girlfriend with me so I can bring 100 cigars back into the UK. I’m thinking of 3 boxes of CC’s and then a selection of various nicer sticks to make up the numbers. Not sure what will be in stock but assuming you can pick anything in your usual cheap rotation what would be your suggestions? I’m currently thinking HUHC RyJ Mille Fleur PLMC Any better suggestions? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yes, Euro. Definitely not the cheapest place to buy but much better than the UK! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. COVID permitting I’ll be visiting Rome in September, was doing some research yesterday, this is the full list of prices from the LCDH in Rome, presume it’s the same all over Italy if the prices are set by the Government. https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/8fe6e7c3/files/uploaded/diadema%20listino%20prezzi%20giugno%202020.pdf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’d keep it small but not too skinny. H Upmann half Corona, Monte Media Corona, QdO 50 or RyJ Petit Royals in that order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I thought these were Minutos but after seeing an Monte 5 qualifying as a PC I checked CCW and these are as well apparently. This box was a 2424 purchase, I have a couple left from the short smoke sampler on 2424 at the end last year and picked this box up after really enjoying the couple I had. Humidor was 63% at 17c, started with a V cut but the draw was almost impossible so I straight cut right around the bottom of the cap, still firm but workable. I’ll have to remember to dry box these for a day or so before smoking another. Construction was great, no touch ups or relights, ash he
  8. I’ve been working through a box of Petit Quintero’s over the last couple of years and have really enjoyed them. Quintero get a lot of hate but for the price they’re a great addition to the humidor Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. My second review for the competition and one of my favourite vitolas for a sunny afternoon when I have as much time as I like. Taken straight from the humidor which was reading 64% 17c. I like to V cut, if the draw isn’t great or there’s a tar build up I’ll straight cut at any point in the smoke, not needed on this occasion. Started off with very light smoke, mainly nuts and wood, no spice even on the retro. As the smoke progressed the woody passed and it developed more of an earthy flavour keeping the nuttiness and a sourdough on the retro. Smoked to the nub, sourdough and earth until
  11. Cut it first, draw was on the firm side but smokeable. Thought it was a good chance to try the fridge technique. Definitely opened the draw. I’ll report back in a couple of months when they’ve acclimatised and I smoke one straight from the humidor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have an 18 box of Monte 4s, similar problems as yours, under filled, hints of cocoa but mainly earthy. I’d like to pick up a box of 2020s and see how they compare. Going to give that vacuum sealing technique a try when I smoke my next one and see if that can help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. These were from FOH so no doubt they’ve been stored perfectly, PSP/HQ from 24:24 2 weeks ago. ROTT is usually ok for me, now the box has gone into the humidor I won’t touch it for at least a month. I also used the fridge technique for an hour and then 30 minutes on the side before lighting. I think it may just be the lighting on that picture, the box is full of dark brown wrappers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
