  1. Ok, you guys convinced me. I ordered a 320 gram 62% Boveda pack. Eagerly awaiting its arrival! How long do you think it takes the humidity to adjust?
  2. Thanks for the replies. Kinda turns me off of Cubans TBH. I don't like the idea of fiddling with my cigars and having to carry around extra tools etc. I like to just light one and smoke it... maybe touch it up once if I need to... but this may be too high maintenance for me. Oh well. Oddly enough my Vegueros are probably the most trouble free Cubans I've bought, and they were the cheapest by far.
  3. Hey all. I've been smoking cigars for about 10 years (I'm 33 for reference), smoking mostly NCs for most of that time. Last year I started experimenting with Cubans - I bought a box of 10 Partagas Serie D No. 4, and later a full box of RASS. Then in the past six months I bought a tin of 16 Vegueros Tapados, and then 15 of various singles from FOH. All of the cigars have been delicious, but I've had MAJOR construction issues with the RASS, Bolivar Coronas, RyJ Short Churchills, and a few others. The Vegueros mostly burn okay, and I don't remember having problems with the Partagas. I've
  4. I'm definitely a seasonal smoker. I live in NY state and so spring through fall is prime smoking time. I smoke the most in the summer. I don't completely stop in the winter, but my rate goes way down. I have to wait for an unseasonably warm day pretty much. Just isn't fun to smoke when it's 20 degrees F outside on the porch.
  5. Ok. Thanks for all the helpful advice! I just placed an order for 5 H. Upmann Connoisseur #1, 5 Bolivar Royal Coronas, and 5 RyJ Short Churchills. Excited to try them all out!
  6. I keep my humidor at 65% with a 320 gram Boveda pack. I use a Sistema locking tupperware container with a cedar tray. I would love to upgrade to one of those mini-fridge type humidors someday though.
  7. Ah, sorry. I meant no disrespect. I’ll edit it out of my post.
  8. Hey all. New to the forum but not new to cigars! I've been smoking for about 10 years, but mostly non Cubans. I got into Cubans last summer, and so far I've had a box of RA Specially Selected, a box of Partagas SD#4, and a 10 cigar sampler. Oh, and I currently have some Vegueros Tapados in my humidor. I LOVED the RASS, but my box had a lot of construction issues. Maybe half the box smoked great, but the other half were plugged and/or burned really poorly. Anyway, I'm thinking about my next purchase, which will probably be a box, and probably be a robusto. I've been trying to deci
