  1. Back when I started in 2006 I fell in love with the Partagas Serie D No. 4 .... first Cigar I started buying box after box of.... defintely was a WOW moment... Had better cigars since then of course but your first love etc.
  2. Anything Cohiba really, unless I win the lottery or something, at the moment it makes more fiscal sense to buy cheaper sticks that are better bang for the buck.

  4. I guess we have had our fair share of long Reserva's (Lusitanias, RyJ Churchill), Pyramide Reserva... next up the Fat Gran Reserva....
  5. The Montecristo 80 Aniversario in 20: Ring 55 x 165mm seems strange to be a "Standard Premium Product". I'm unconvinced this is a standard release, maybe the Club Kings and Medias Coronas are not either. Anyone more clued up? Maybe they are more in a Connie A vein?
  6. LCDH Newsletter: Dear Aficionado's, much sooner than expected, I can give you an extensive update on the new Habanos products foreseen in 2015: Standard Premium Products: Montecristo Media Corona in 5 & 25: Ring 44 x 90mm Romeo y Julieta Club Kings in 5 & 25: Ring 42 x 129mm Montecristo 80 Aniversario in 20: Ring 55 x 165mm LCDH only products: Partagas Maduro N°1 in 25: Ring 52 x 130 mm La Gloria Cubana 25 Aniversario LCDH in 30: Combinaciones Piramides: Ring 52 x 156mm and Robusto Extra: Ring 48 x 170mm Edicion Limitadas: H. Upmann Magnum 56 EL 2015 in 25: Ring 56 x 150mm
  7. Just to clarify, like a H. Upmann Half Corona? I wonder what their reasoning is, begs the question if the 80 Aniversario is a EL or not, would be smaller than the H Upmann Magnum 48
  8. What Ryan said, The wrapper on both Petit Quintero look tidy for a Quintero.... A lot less gnarly than other Quintero's I've seen!
  9. Got a may 2013 box.... took a good 14 months or so before they become smokeable... flavours were crap around November, now much better. Construction and draw fine
  10. Which markets? I heard that some boxes made their way to Canadian stores, I'm assuming from the pic Germany too?
  11. I liked the Short Pir, smoked a few when they first came out, maybe would have to revisit as they didn't blow me away, expected a little more perhaps Havent tried the Grand Epi... dunno if it appeals to me...
  12. Sorry for bumping this a little, but the Regalos for me was one of my favourite LE's from recent memory. Tasted flipping awesome. I understand the issue with the fire resistant wrapper, but still, was worth it.
  13. Did Deliver - BHK 54 Didn't Deliver - La Escepcion Selectos Finos RE I'm going to duck my head here, tasted like a strong Partagas, was expecting a little more complexity. Got two more to try so maybe in a year or so.
  14. From my experience of Partagas Serie P No. 2 - when you first get a box, lie them down for at least a year before smoking one and then smoke another a few months down the road. Serie D No 4 are ready earlier but have found them difficult to love the last four or five years, they just don't dance like the way they did back in 2006-2008
  15. Bought a box of May 2013 Reyes late last year. First two were harsh and green as Hell... but have since smoothed out nicely. Construction and draw very very good. No qualms here about that box but that's the only Trinidad purchase I've made in over two years, so I can't really give such a firm assessment of the brand like Rob has
  16. Looking forward to the Bolivar Super Coronas and the Por Larranaga Picadores myself!
  17. ... I would give the Juan Lopez Petit Corona a go. Different but not a million miles away.
  18. A cab of 50 Party Shorts is a beautiful thing.
  19. Been smoking for over eight years now, still got the bug. I'll smoke whenever I have the downtime to do so. If I had the luxury to smoke 2 or 3 a day I would....
  20. An hour or so to an hour fifteen minutes. Depends on a number of factors, If I'm outside, how packed is the Cigar, how wet the stogie is, am I paying attention etc. etc.
  21. Like many I feel, they have a love / hate relationship with Pyramides. With the reputation that the Montecristo No. 2 has, you'd expect much better, but they are so hit or miss. I've had some wonderful ones, and others have been so ho hum it's heartbreaking. The two pyramides I've enjoyed most over the last few years (and yeah yeah I know one isn't technically a piramide) are the Partagas Serie P No. 2 and Bolivar Belicosos Finos. The Partagas definitely needs time to develop but I've had no problems construction or draw. The Bolivar is a wonderful flavourful smoke that works well in the fo
