  1. Originally published on my blog http://mycigarblog.org/blog/?p=2679 -------------------------- I’m back from my great European adventure! It was 2 weeks of amazing experiences, beautiful sights, lovely people and some very tasty cigars (and unexpected herfs). Let’s start with the good stuff first, cigars! Istanbul duty-free shopping for cigars is marvelous, a good mix of Cubans and non-Cubans (mostly Davidoffs). Selection is limited to the popular brands and vitolas, but for what there is available, there is a lot of it, and the quality is excellent. Perfectly stored in large walk-in humid
  2. Does anyone know exactly how much money the Australian government makes from taxes?
  3. Thanks for this contest. I'm submitting this photo i took of our fellow FOH'er, Rehman Rashid, smoking a VR Famosos. IMG_5757-Edit by aizuddindanian, on Flickr

  5. Thanks for the kind words, brothers. It fuels my aspirations and heightens my inspiration. Rehman gives me too much credit. He was a joy to photograph; having spent so much time in the spotlight, he instinctively knew what to do (including exhaling very slowly for this shot!).
  6. I sent Lisa/Diana an email. No reply. For the Hoyo du deputes. .
  7. Pesky bit of code got onto my blog's index.html, so you might get an error warning when you access it. I've removed the code, so no worries.
  8. Just a quick reminder, the contest ends tomorrow! Still time to get your guesses in.
  9. As the title suggests, can anyone recommend a place to buy a really basic 3 finger cigar case. Leather preferred. I lost my old one...
  10. I echo Nino's thoughts here. I've got a collection, many of which i bought 10 years ago. I don't feel the need to show them off. What's the point? Their existence is purely for my pleasure, and most of them are collections for collection's sake. Having said that, as and when i smoke something nice, it makes sense to share it with my readers -- i've always believed that the act of smoking cigar is a social one. What can be more sociable than smoking a good cigar and sharing it with the WWW? Hence my cigar reviews.
  11. Thanks mate! I'm just paying in forward, good comes in, it's only right to make sure good goes out.
  12. Hey everyone, a few good things have happened in my life recently. Things going well at work, my wife got a new great job, my son just turned 3 years old today. In celebration of these blessings, i smoked a fantastic cigar, and took a picture of myself doing it. I want to share the happiness with everyone, so i've started a simple contest on my blog. See the picture below. All you have to do is guess what i'm smoking, then drop a comment on the blog post here http://mycigarblog.org/blog/?p=2608 and if you are the first person to get it right, the cigars i've put aside for this will be on the
  13. Monte Edmundo PEs are generally a "smoke now" cigar -- taste great even when fresh. Haven't had a box that lasted longer than a year or two.
  14. You know what would have been cooler? Fire the gun until the barrel got hot, then use the hot barrel to light a cigar. Then smoke the cigar while firing some more. Oh man oh man. Just thinking about how that looks just puts a smile on my face.
  15. Thanks, glad you guys like the sequence. It is pretty hilarious!
  16. A friend and I recently found some lovely aged stock at a local cigar lounge. '05 Punch Royal Seleccion No. 11. See what happened when he smoked it.
