  1. A Mercedes-less podium is best podium! Helluva drive by Vettel! Too bad Kimi's car died, but was glad to see Vettel's Ferrari take the win without any of those annoying Silver Arrows anywhere to be found. Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  2. Indeed! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  3. The race is last month? We're going back in time! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  4. RIP Jules. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2015/07/18/formula-1-driver-jules-bianchi-dies-nine-months-after-crash/ Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  5. Neat! Good luck with the launch and beyond! I'll absolutely look at picking up a box since it's likely to be the closest thing I'll get to a real Hamlet. Cheers, ~ Greg ~
  6. Wow. No idea why TapaTalk spammed all the pics... but it was a good time nonetheless. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  7. Yep. We had a pretty solid day. Got some pics from the range time... never a bad day when you get to play with NFA toys. Cheers, Greg Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  8. I was really rooting for Williams to pull that off, but it quickly became another Mercedes 1-2 yawner. It's getting old. Really f**king old. Hard to care about F1 anymore when the only real question is which Merc will finish 1st. I need to start watching other motorsports until F1 gets competitive again. 9. The English are a rather bitter lot, aren't they? Sour grapes and all that. Pip pip! Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  10. Fixing to head out for an afternoon of target shooting with a bunch of friends. This evening we'll be grilling steaks before the big fireworks show in town. I've already got a BHK 56 set aside for this evening. And much beer will be consumed today. I've been off work since the 1st and not going back until the 13th. It's my Independence Day vacation! Cheers, Greg Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  11. I think Kimi's basically a has-been anyhow. For someone with a moniker like "Iceman" he sure isn't very cool under pressure. It's hard to blame Ferrari for wanting to get a second good driver on the team. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  12. Watching the Tudor USC championship at Watkins Glen right now and am giggling with delight at the sounds these engines make. Makes me miss the pre-greenie F1 engines more than ever. Nothing in the racing world sounded better than those engines. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  13. Agreed. I feel bad for the OP since he thought he was getting helped out, but I generally think it's best to only fork over money to people you know and trust. Otherwise, really, it's more like gambling. And I've done that before - taken a chance on something I knew was probably risky and got burned - but in those instances I never handed over more than I was willing to throw away. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this, but as is often the case in these sorts of deals, I'm guessing it won't have a happy ending. ~ Greg ~

    Cheese

Yeah, cheese is definitely something that seems to go well with cigars. I don't make a practice of it - i.e. I don't intentionally plan ahead by making a snack tray ready for when I smoke - but when I do happen to nibble on cheese while smoking it definitely seems to bring out more flavors. I had some nice Wensleydale a couple of years back that really did the trick. The Cabot goods are easier for me to get, though, being in the States and all. Cheers, ~ Greg ~
  15. Not being a fan of either team and wanting hockey to go as long as possible, I am totally hoping for a game 7. That goes into 5 OTs. That would be epic. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  16. Exactly. A truly Unlimited class. You want to put 8 wheels on the car? Strap a turbo fan to the chassis? Cool. Whatever gets your car around the track fastest. It would be so very choice. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  17. They are indeed making this entirely too complicated. You want to fix F1? The answer is simple: make it a truly Unlimited class. Anything goes, as long as it's still safe. Whoever can design the fastest, best handling, and most reliable car wins. Period. F1 needs to be truly innovative in order to be able to say it's the pinnacle of motor racing. So remove the stupid rules, dump all the PC/hippy/green bullcrap, let designers design, and drivers race Problem solved. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  18. Depends where in the country you live. I'm from Seattle originally, and that town loves the Sounders as much as it loves the Seahawks. That wasn't always the case. When I was a kid I remember going to the Sounders games at Memorial Stadium (which I seem to recall as being a small, sorta run down place at the time), but even back then the Seahawks were the team in the city. (The Sonics gave them a run for their money for a number of years, but Seattle has always been more of a football town than anything else.) And then they folded in 1983. There were other attempts to get soccer back in S
  19. I don't think this is a new thing. I think Montreal has done that in the past? Maybe some others, too. I'm actually okay with restricting ticket sales to in-state only - how hard would it really be to get around that problem?. But I think the "no Bad Guy sweaters in these areas" is crap. If I live in Tampa and am a Blackhawks fan, I'm wearing whoever's colors I want to wear. I'm pretty sure tax payer money was used to build Amalie Arena, so I don't see how they can censor something like that. If it was entirely privately funded and no public dough was involved at all, then it would be a
  20. I would say I'm not really rooting for or against either team - this time around I really don't care who wins. One the one hand, I want to root for Chicago because: Original Six, real hockey market, and Toewes played his college hockey here in town, so he's basically a local boy. On the other hand, I want to root for Tampa because: Red Wings connections (Filppula on the ice, Yzerman in the front office), Chicago has already won a couple of Cups in recent years, and if you bounce my boys from the post-season you damned well better go on to win the Cup. Both teams are basically built the sam
  21. You should have let 'er rip. There's no way Ken is paying any attention to a hockey thread. LOL Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
  22. I used to be hard-core into the RC car world. Back in high school/college I was doing a lot of the 1/12th scale indoor electrics - the carpet burners. Those things were fast and quick. Moved into 1/10th scale parking lot series a few years later when I didn't have as much time for serious competition again and still had lots of fun. I only had one nitro offroader, but had a dozen other electrics for on and off road. Even had one of those impressive Tamiya King Tiger tanks. Man... I wish I still had all that gear. Thousand of dollar worth of cars, parts, motors, tools, radios, etc. all do

  24. My wife and I were watching the race, figuring it to be another boring as hell Merc 1-2 finish... Then the terrible pit stop and Hamilton got screwed... What just happened? Did they just do that?... Wait... Oh my god... heh Ha.. Haha... Hahaha... Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hamilton totally got screwed and I *loved* it. Seeing him run over the 3rd place placard in the podium spot made me laugh out loud. For real... because I knew the little brat would run it over out of spite. So today's race was mostly boring, though Monaco is always a sexy-ass backdrop. But the ending was so s
  25. Yep. I would have preferred that he had gone to the Western Conference, or at least a team outside of our division, since he knows all of Detroit's secrets... but whatever. Even with Babcock at the helm I doubt Toronto will be a serious challenger next season, so I suppose it could have been worse. He could have gone to Montreal or Boston. LOL $50MM for 8 years. It's about time coaches started getting paid good money. So props to Babs for raising that particular bar.
