  1. A truly cigar and fun packed day, yesterday. And no, there's no "hidden closet" here - just good old dirty fun ... Drove up to Cologne for half a day of smoking fine cigars with my old Belgian buddy-"lover" Frank at Pitter Heinrich's Casa. We started with 70/80's vintage Cuban Davidoffs, Chateau Haut Brion, courtesy of Andy Ryan/Rob Fox in Havana last month. A nice cigar that left my palate dry. Next was a custom rolled Lancero courtesy of Hannes, also from Havana last month, with a very special blend that included Medio Tiempo. Like the ones I smoked with Hannes in Havana, a very impressive cigar, full bodied, creamy and very aromatic but the last third left both Frank an me quite dizzy. Nevertheless we'd love to get our hands on a couple of full wheels of this cigar .... Time to have a light dinner. Back at the lounge we ended our Cologne rendezvous with the Cohiba Majestuosos from the Gala auction humidor. 2. Saturday we relaxed in the village – Anna & Gino wanted to swim so we went to the local pool, had a nap under a tree and rested before the afternoon Roseschorle with a Hector Luis Prieto DC that he sent us from Cuba dedicated to “Chino” ( Gino) and me. Saturday evening was celebrated at the nearby Feier Scheier in Gabsheim where 45 of us once again had a splendid CCC event, excellent food and drinks and lots of fun. A Video of the event’s opening : For more pictures and text : http://flyingcigar.d...ting-day-three/ All things must sadly end and the sky cried Sunday when we held our cigar brunch at Herve’s RW. http://flyingcigar.d...four-rw-brunch/ Some pictures of Saturday & Sunday :
  3. For 4 days we had good fun, good food, good beverages, good friends and ... oh right, we also smoked cigars. Friday morning, after a nice breakfast cigar, Inge and I took Anna & Gino to Wiesbaden for a stroll, some shopping and a visit of the ongoing Winefest there. Great idea !! 4. Gino & Anna arrived here this morning from Rome - we had coffee & cigars by the Rhine river after pick-up at the airport, long lunch at Vollrads castle, cigars, and now in the village before dinner at Herve's and more cigars - Looking forward to a great Pharmacy Cigar Weekend !! Finishing off the day one "prelude" to the big ANS cigar herf tomorrow - long steak dinner at Herve's Alsatian restaurant in the village, good cigars, great ginger eau de vie and lots of fun with Anna, Gino and Andreas.
  5. Just came across this old ( June 2008 ) and very friendly German television clip again about our pharmacy cigar meetings every 13 days in the village when my pharmacist has night duty. The German television crew visited us then as they were mighty interested in finding out about us smoking and enjoying in a pharmacy just as strict anti-smoking laws had been passed in other German states making it impossible to smoke in pubs, restaurants, etc. The tv crew enjoyed their few hours with us, them all being smokers ..... It was shown after the nightly regional news. We are not just lucky to still enjoy cigar smoking in the pharmacy every 13 days but also in that our state is quite liberal (still) in allowing smoking-only pubs, cafes and restaurants with a separate smoking room. Here's to the next 15 years ... http://flyingcigar.de/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/ANS.wmv http://flyingcigar.de/smoking-cigars/200806-apotheken-notdienst-smoke-auf-swr-tv/
