  1. Happy to meet Maritza Acuña again - a great roller from the H.Upmann factory. Here some background and a video link showing her rolling a 109 yesterday : http://flyingcigar.de/startseite/meeting-the-great-roller-maritza-acuna-again/ I have known Maritza now for 15 years and have met her frequently in Havana at the H.Upmann factory where she leads the 60 best Category 9 rollers of that factory. In fact she gave us in the Portmann group a class in rolling cigars at that factory back in 2007 … I have met her again a few times in Germany on tour but I thought that by now she was retired as she is in her early 70s … So it was a great pleasure to learn that she is once again on a rolling tour in Germany and she would stop at LCDH Kaiserslautern – just a 25 min. drive for me. I drove there and spent a few hours talking with her and watching her perfectly roll a beautiful cigar. Here is the video : I remember that back in 2007 we calculated that she had rolled about 2.5 million cigars during her career – she told me it was close or over the 3 million mark by now. Amazing. Happy to see her still going strong and doing what she loves. Nino
