  1. I got back from the festival last Wednesday. Great time as always, great people, still recovering. I'll try to get around to putting up more posts and pictures from the trip. I managed to go to all three of the festival dinners. Food, as usual, not the best. Otherwise the events were very well managed. The trick is to eat beforehand. Otherwise, everything ran on time, staff all lovely. In case anybody thinks I am some kind of "baller" going to $1,400 worth of dinners, I'm not, my wife would have my balls and rightly so if I spent that on dinners on myself. I'm lucky enough to know some very good people who get me into these events. As usual, new releases were handed out. I really don't mind anybody using any of these pictures for any reason other than commercial, not that they're anything special. Just don't do it with an accompanying misinterpretation of my comments, like some idiot on another forum. Hoyo Epicure No. 2 Reserva from the opening night. Cohiba Majestuosos from the Gala dinner. From left to right, Upmann Mag. 54, Cohiba Majestuoso, Trinidad Topes LE, Hoyo Elegante LCDH (taco size, same as the Partagas Presidente), Epciure No. 2 Reserva, Cuaba 20th Anniversario (Jofres Grandes, whatever that is), think short Salomon.
  2. Hoping this is appropriate for my first topic post and hasn't been covered yet... Going to Cuba in a few weeks and wanted to buy some new cigars I haven’t smoked. I am new to this passion so I haven't had the pleasure of trying a variety of sticks from any one Marca. I personally love cigars that give a good tingle on the retrohale like RASS, SLR Regios, D4, TColoniales etc. as opposed to uber smooth smokes (RyJ Mille Fleur, HdM PE, Epi No1 etc.) and wanted to ask you gents for advice. I have done alot of reading into what are some of the stronger, fuller bodied smokes but was hoping to see what might be my range of choices based on the broad experiences on this forum. Of these five Marcas, I would like to kindly ask if some could suggest 1-2 sticks from each that is on the stronger side of the scale and in the = or > 46 gauge range? I don't think i'll be laying any of these purchases for sleep so those that smoke fresh would fit the bill better for me.
